@Mr. Sullivan - Tora Biodome
Terrestrial Oceanic Research Association Biodome! That's quite the name. I love the layout of this project. From the Westernland and Muppet Broadway tags, to the Disneyland style website design. Really great job. And the map and images offer a good perspective as to the layout and feel of the pavilion (or biodome). I like how this pavilion incorporates concepts from both the Living Seas and The Land pavilion in ways, but also makes it feel like its own thing. Similar to both of those pavilions - this one incorporates real world research and being in Brazil, with the Atlantic Ocean and the Amazon close by, logistically this makes a ton of sense.
The description of the Biodome feels like it took inspiration from the Singapore airport which is great continuity with the prompt inspiration. I also love multi-level pavilions, especially when you enter the pavilion from a higher level and get that surprise when there are levels underneath to explore, similar to The Land pavilion at EPCOT.
I love the quaint boatride and all the green spaces throughout this pavilion - I think it offers a more intimate setting and more lush than something you'd expect at an expo where it is more corporate in nature. The Soil and Bacteria labs also were great compliments to the pavilion as they showcase the true R&D at work. The butterfly house and the sensory experience of Beautiful Rain incorporate other elements of land and sea. The butterflies remind me of the flower and garden festival butterfly walkthrough, and while a weather pavilion was always a blue sky idea for Epcot, I really like how it is integrated into this experience. The Reef being inspired by the Georgia Aquarium (which I did not know until now is the largest in the US) was such a unique idea! Getting to the two main attractions, both compliment each other very well. The Great Green Tomorrow feels like a combo of Carousel of Progress, Horizons, with Universe of Energy, and mildly Test Track, all wrapped into one amazing attraction. Poseidon One, developing an original ride system, was also a delight. Almost like a 20K sequel, but focused on realism, this was something that put your imagineering talents on display.
The note at the end was also very touching. I am so glad you had such a great experience and made all of these new friends in the game. Thanks for everything
you have done to make this season special!
