So Disney tried to put the word out saying photos and video recordings are a big no-no for D23, and thought this would work in a stadium-esque hall which can house thousands of eager people?
I was there last night! They didn't even try to block anyone LOL. They had security in every section of the arena but nobody was walking up and down the aisles with flashlights like they usually did in Hall H. I'm sure they'll copyright it all if they really care, but when they moved it to the Honda Center it seemed like they WANT this stuff out there.

In other D23 news, the WDW thread about the event is going crazy about the Parks panel tonight. It looks like it's going to be a wild ride (which could either good or bad depending on how you feel about a certain Disney sports car)

Reminder for tonight to set expectations for everyone: it is no longer just the Parks panel. it is the Experiences panel. This includes Shopping/ Merch, cruises, Adventure By Disney AND Video Games. The 90 minute panel won't be just about the theme parks.

Unless they decide to extend it to a 3 hour panel like they did last night. Then you can raise your expectations just a little bit lol

Still can't believe it went over by an hour last night lol

I expect it to go over again today, but even at 2 1/2 hours I am not holding out a ton of hope. Luckily some of that will be saved for the Fortntie event, but still

I’m not going to set any expectations for D23 because I am scared for what the future holds for the parks, but specifically The Tropical Americas!

I fully expect a good amount being dedicated to the cruise line with the Treasure and the Destiny plus a bit about the Adventure. I’m sure we’ll get more about the Treasure since that sets sail in a few months.

As for the parks, I’m hopeful it’s a good chunk of the panel but at the same time I’m not super expecting that but am ready to be surprised and excited by it lol.

Either way, I was genuinely pleased with last nights announcements and am hoping tonight continues that. I want to be excited about Disney again!

I was wondering what everyone thought of last night’s announcements. Specifically, @TheOriginalTiki and his thoughts on how Stitch looks because I know he loves the original film.

I thought everything looked pretty good! There wasn’t a whole lotta brand new announcements, so I was hoping for a surprise or two. (The Rock’s Monster Jam being the most surprising thing of the entire presentation is funny but also slightly disappointing lol) As a huge fan of Toy Story 4, I am totally fine with a fifth one. Plus, I am really intrigued by the electronic angle of this new story. I was not a fan of the footage of Snow White last D23, and I still am not loving it after the new footage. Mufasa, on the other hand, looks pretty great, and I trust Barry Jenkins to deliver something amazing.

Also, only three live-action remakes highlighted this time around, which has to be the lowest ever haha. Seems like the Moana remake got put on hold in favor for the Monster Jam movie, and I think that's the right move because Dwayne gave a really heartfelt speech about how Auli'i brought Moana to life, and I was scared they were go bring out the new Moana later on. That would have been very awkward LMAO.

Overall, I think every branch of Disney entertainment is doing alright! Well, idk about Star Wars, as their presentation was quite short. Yet, I am sure they are on their way. 2025 is going to be a STACKED year for Disney flicks.

Things might get wild, but probably not as crazy as people are hoping. They'll probably announce the South America plot, cover other stuff already announced online, tease BBT, possibly Lion King for Paris if that was ever anything beyond a rumour, and then waste time on Fortnite. Who cares about that? Give us Kingdom Hearts 4 info and make Epic Mickey more of a priority!

Came into the stream late because CM's phone was on the fritz, but they've been doing a Mad T Party performance for the past 15 minutes, so I don't think I missed anything.

Josh, don’t play with my heart like this. They really wanted to hammer in the part that this is real, we are doing this. Which gives a giant thumbs up for me.
