Question of the Day
What theme or amusement park have you never been to that you really want to get to?
sorry for being so inactive lately, but uhh back to the question, probably too many to mention but here's some I could think of right now are Disneyland, California Adventure, Tokyo Disney, DisneySea(!), Universal Japan(!), Universal Singapore(!), Hong Kong Disney, Parque Warner Madrid, Parc Asterix(!), Motion World Dubai, Ocean Park Shanghai, Lotte World Seoul, Busch Gardens Tampa, Alton Towers, Futuroscope, Walibi Belgium, Heidepark, also pretty curious to see that Paramount Park in Incheon, Korea, Universal's new resort in Beijing and Epic Universe in Orlando

The Disney in Your Home Extravaganza

Hey you like Disney, right...well how would you like a Disney attraction in your own home? Simply put on your headphones, click a link and you will be transported to not the snowy peak of Mt. Everest, not the 999 Happy Haunts of The Haunted Mansion, but instead even better, the theater of Sounds Dangerous with Drew Carey, for the same experience you would have gotten if you paid for park admission, you can't beat this campaign!

The Sorcerer's Warmups

In the continuation of daily warmups from @tcool123 and myself (And maybe mystery guests?????) welcome to the fourth warmup. Even if you're not participating in the Sorcerer's Apprentice feel free to pitch your own ideas for the prompts. Now without further ado get ready for the fourth warmup prompt :D

Originally this would have been Stanza III of Season 4. But now it is just another story lost in the multi-verse

An Unconvincing Campaign

Some of the most memorable projects in Sorcerer's Apprentice history are the more weird prompts that take a look at often overlooked aspects of theme parks and gives players a chance to think outside the box and get a little goofy. There was a fart themed Minions flat ride in season 6, a poop themed restroom and a Michael Jackson dance routine in season 5, a horror movie take on Heimlich's Chew Chew Train and the Volcano Bay Bro in Season 4, the Infamous Bench in Season 3(?).

Today's warm up gives you the chance to practice thinking about an unconventional prompt that lends itself to a bit of a weirder project.

The goal is to Pitch an Ad Campaign and/or Viral Marketing Stunt for a Bad Attraction.

Bad is a relative term of course. And don't feel limited to just Disney if you don't want to.

Imagineers during this practice prompt you may use one to two sentences, and one image. Good luck and remember KISS: Keep it simple, silly :D
am I allowed to do one for an entire land that’s mostly full of widely considered to be bad attractions?

Congratulations...since you just streamed Lilo and Stitch on Disney+, you have won 4 free 1-day tickets to the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World! The only catch is that when you enter the park you must immediately go ride [the not-terrifying-but-annoying] Stitch’s Great Escape.

The only Disney parks I haven't been to are Orlando and Shanghai (Tokyo still counts even though I just went to Tokyo DisneySea!), so either of the two. Orlando has more appeal to me though with the impeding 50th Anniversary celebrations (which I think will be pushed to 2022 with the way things are going) and a chance to visit Animal Kingdom (before it gets ruined by "corporate synergy") and "drink" in EPCOT (I'm legally allowed to drink in all countries, but I'm with family sooo 🤷🏻‍♂️).

I’m not even going to try to make this realistic...

The Baby Figment Campaign

View attachment 522996

Society loves babies as baby versions of popular characters have begun to appear like Baby Yoda, Baby Mr. Peanut, and even a resurgence of the Muppet Babies cartoon, which begs the question as to why Disney doesn’t expand this popular trend to it’s Disney parks original characters.
Starting 2021, Baby Figment will be introduced via a collection of commercials advertising EPCOT’s extensive overhaul and Disney parks fans are sure to fall head over heels for this adorable purple dragon infant as he screams and commits genocide against the entire country of Malaysia.

I know Tokyo is the obvious answer, but I've always loved how atmospheric the Paris park is and would really love the go to Paris Disneyland!

am I allowed to do one for an entire land that’s mostly full of widely considered to be bad attractions?
Sure!

You know this morning I read this and put a heart reaction, oh look Baby Figment, then I reread the last sentence and had to change to a, wow, what happened here reaction 😅

I didn’t originally intend the last sentence to be there, but I felt it needed more zest.

I ended up going with genocide instead because it was late at night and I was incredibly sleep deprived.
