I heard that is the best one, and I'm looking into it. It seems nice, but I'm not so sure it is my fav, theme-wise
Don't pay extra for preferred rooms. Ask for a garden room in the 50s or 60s building. It's close to everything, but that section of the resort is rather quiet.

I paid for a Preferred room (overlooking the Hippy Dippy pool in the 60s building), and regretted it.

The walls are thin. The furniture was decent. The beds recently got a makeover, so that's good, and I can't comment on them. The plumbing was worn and the bathroom cramped. It felt, size wise, like an old Econo Lodge room. But, decent food court (though, it's worth hiking over to AoA which has the BEST food court on property, I think...good god the specialty burgers there are AMAZING!). Best bus service (and the added bonus at night that you can take AoA home since they don't share busses, and most park bus stops, the AoA stop is right next to the Pop stop, so you can just grab whichever one comes first (or looks less crowded) at nights.

Beneights, I shall keep that in mind. :D Writing those done now so that I can try those when I am done.
I ate them pretty much every other day (1 snack credit for 3 of those suckers, cooked fresh before your eyes!)

Great thing for the first night, after unpacking.

Pop review is in my 2012 trip report.
Great, thanks for the advice, and I'll read the review! Right now though I'm comparing videos and photos of those hotels. My family wants to go next summer, but I wont have left over points, so we'll have to get those rooms

Review is like page 2 or 3...when I went there after staying at Royal Pacific at Uni...though, I talk about other things through the whole report.

Not a whole lot of pictures, as the original forum that report is posted on had a 5 picture limit and didn't allow embedded pictures.

Beware of a sharp change of topic, but do you know anything of Apple TV? The guy at the Apple store sure did do a heck of a good job trying to convince me to get it

It's fun to be able to quickly stream off your iPad.

Other than that, it's not much different than a Roku, unless you are heavily invested in iTunes.

At least that's my general impression.

Now, if you have a sizable iTunes library (especially movies and tv shows), it's very much worth it.

Exactly, or your embedded in Apple, I have my Apple Tv hooked to my stereo and I stream all my audio (macbook and ios stuff) to it.

I have a very big iTunes library. I am considering it. And perhaps dropping cable and DVR and On Demand, just keep the basics for local news and stuff

But I here you have to pay for a lot of shows

I've been on BASIC basic cable (the plan they don't tell you about that you have to twist Comcast's arm to find out about), and the only reason I have that is it's cheaper to bundle that with internet than to just get internet.

Everything I've done TV / Movie wise since 2007 has been online.

No rabbit ears, no cable TV.

I got the Roku for my kid, since I don't have cable.

That's what is connected to her TV in her room. I also like it because I was able to control some of her content (using Netflix parental controls).
That makes sense. I am debating dropping cable, but my GF loves it, so I keep it for her. I wish I could just pay for ID channel she would be happy.
