Well, a lot of them moved over to 7chan and 9gag and 8gag and a few to funnyjunk, and oh god, the list goes on.
Oh dear, I forgot about some of them, there are the other chans we ignore do to its illicit material.

Side note. I am reading your trip report. I currently have a reservation for Jiko, but I have never been. What would you recommend.

I used to pay attention to them loosely only to keep my fingers on the pulse of the net.

Some of their raids, back in the day, were pretty funny though.

Especially when they'd raid CSPAN (which, they still do...I can't wait for the presidential debates, they'll be at it again)

And then there was the youtube attacks...

People just don't understand what the internet is, and that something like 75 - 80% of it is dark (meaning, you won't find it on Google).

BEST RESTAURANT ON PROPERTY!

You all are in for a treat!

1) Reserve a bit before dusk. When you show up, they'll give you a buzzer (like any restaurant) and you'll probably have a short wait. The buzzer will work on the Savannah Walk, so go do that. And, if you're lucky, you two will be able to even roast some marshmallows as a premeal treat!

2) Boar appetizer for the WIN! BEST thing ever. Order two. You won't regret it.

3) This is a MUST WINE meal. They have unique african wines there that rotate, so ask your server.

4) After the meal, the Savannah Walk will likely be closed, but the firepit with rocking chairs will be open. It's great to grab some coffee and head out there before heading home.

What else do you want to know?

That sounds perfect! I have a 7:15 reservation and I am looking forward to it. I think this might be our big meal that we go all out on. That answers everything I ad. I am excited about this now.
Hmm I dont know. I need to figure this whole traveling to Disney World as an adult thing. My parents were not big on the fancy or big sit down dinner, but I am trying to with the GF.

I am excited for this even more now.

My daughter adores it. I've never had a bad dish there (though, I've liked some more than others).

I did it in 2012 and 2013.

I can't recall what I had offhand both times. They are renouned for their Filet and Mac, but the new chef took that off the menu last year (though, it's still available if you'd rather have it, and my kiddo did, and it was GREAT!)

Are you all doing busses or renting a car?

That's good that I can do it with the mac and Cheese

She came back about a year and half ago under a different username. She's...matured (or is now taking her meds)...
I am gonna vote on the meds option, or other some sore of experimental therapy probably shocked.

Are you all doing busses or renting a car?
I will be driving, My GF and I are saving money for food ( FOOD AND WINE FEST HERE WE COME!) by driving, so my car will be near me all day.

Ok then, good. The reason I asked is that the busses, before 8p or so (or whenever Blizzard Beach closes) share the route between Blizzard and AKL.

So, you'd want to factor that into your time.

But, if you are driving, not an issue at all.

It is a CLASSY restaurant. Dress up for this (there, actually, is a dress code here, they won't let you in if you have on shorts or jeans and a t-shirt!). Collared pressed polo and slacks would be fine, or shirt and tie. Nice evening dress or pantsuit for the lady.

Another good note, We were planning on making that our relaxation day so I will keep in mind about nice clothing. Time to raid my closet.

Walking the pool area at Jambo House is also fun before / after dinner. Their pool is fantastic. The restaurant is right by it.
Good, we might do that earlier. WE hope to do a little bit of hotel shopping and see where we want to stay next.

Other restaurants to consider...for an adult pallete (mind you, I do a LOT of TS as I go with the Deluxe Dining every year)

1) Brown Derby and Dine with an Imagineer (considering your goals)

Be aware, the Imagineer may not be a mover and shaker, but they are all WDI. They also do it at Hollywood and Vine, but I think the food at Brown Derby is better. It's not cheap ($100 a head, as I recall), but it's an amazing experience and you get a commemorative plate and a disney name

2) Sci Fi

Ok, not the best food, but good sandwiches (great Reuben and decent burger) and the shakes are fantastic. Plus, you get to sit next to the lady and watch old cartoons and clips! Great place for a lunch at HS. My favorite.

3) You guys GOT to eat in the castle at Cindy's Royal Table! Not the best restaurant, but not bad either...but IT IS IN THE CASTLE!

The food has been better the past two trips than previous ones. As a party of two, ask for the center table overlooking the carousel (there are only 3 two tops in the whole restaurant, so you'll get one of the window seats most likely anyway). Another neat thing to do is book late (as in fireworks time) and watch the fireworks over dessert from INSIDE the castle (I've done that twice).

In fact, if you watch the 2011 video in my signature links, you'll see it. It's even better now the NFL has pushed the launchers back.

4) Book the late luau at Poly, then watch the fireworks and water pageant from the beach at Poly (they actually also have a viewing area out there, though with all the DVC work, I'm not sure if they still do or what the state of it is...but I did this in 2011, and it was tons of fun).

5) California Grill for Fireworks. Book around an hour to an hour and a half before the show, then when you check in ask for a balcony or window view. It's amazing.

6) Ohana for fireworks. They pipe the music in, and the tables along the windows are two tops.

7) Rose and Crown, lower level balcony, for Illuminations. Same trick as Cali Grill. Book about an hour to an hour and a half in advance, and let them know what you are trying to do. Then you can sit and watch the show, no crowds, and munch on sweet desserts and drink your bitter or your irish coffee!

8) Crystal Palace before rope drop. Great way to snag some "crowd free" pictures around Main Street and in front of the castle.

AKL is the prettiest of all the hotels outside of Wilderness Lodge, in my opinion. But, it's not worth staying there without a Savannah View, and that means MONEY!

Kidani and renting DVC points is also an option, and they have their own savannah view as well.

Also, Sanaa is worth checking out. Pan-Indian quisine, and right on the Savannah View. I've only seen it, not eaten there, but I've heard good things.
