You have no idea how bad they are. I only use them if it's an emergency.

I have Mario Party 4 & 7, Animal Crossing, Pikmin, Super Smash Melee, Paper Mario 1000 Year Door, Mario Kart Double Dash, and Harvest Moon A Wonderful Life which is my favorite game for the console.
This was my first computer...

I inherited from my Dad, and it was considered "portable" (yes, this was what you did before a laptop)...

Most of my questions are what time is it/ day/ what period is it/ what's my locker number, and so an so on all things I should know by now.
It doesn't change when you get older. I can't tell you my office phone number and half the time I have to think for a bit to remember our vault combinations

I loved my SNES. My parents wouldn't get me a N64 so I just had a SNES. (Well my dads)
Opposite for me. Parents wouldn't get me an SNES, and while I could afford one, I chose to spend it on other things (I was becoming a teen, so I wanted clothes and stuff to be "cool")

But, my sis got an N64, and I got a few games for it that were "ours"...and three of them were epic.

1) Mario Cart - GREAT group game, GREAT single game
2) Goldeneye
3) Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire (way too many late nights spent on that game)

All 3 are amazing games :)

I'm still want to get my hands on some of those older machines. :). My oldest currently are an apple Cube and the original iMac
In a way, I miss it. Because, you really had to learn what to do to use it.

This is why *nix users tend to get frustrated by Apple / Windows...

With CLI you have much POWAH!

He hints at it in the video, but there are two 5 1/4 floppy drives on the machine.

That's for a reason. The first was to load your OS. The second was for programs.

That's why I enjoy working in a CDE environment most of the day. It keeps me fresh with terminal and you feel more in control

I've only played Mario Cart.N64 has memories a whole my watching my cousin playing Paper Mario and I mean a whole summer she took here N64 almost everywhere she never did, but I did eventually twice. Every Christmas we still play Super Smash Bros on it and Mario Party and Mario Kart even though we have newer versions. Don't even get me started all the time I spent playing Pokémon Snap and Pokémon Stadium 1 & 2. Give you'll a hint I played Pokémon Snap the night before a hurricane hit land it was a problem but fun! I also have a lot different memories as a kid (Giant from Fun and Fancy Free watching me through a window is one of them of coarse it never happened, but it still scared me)

My first "real" lesson in computers was in 1989 or 1990 or so.

I got a Soundblaster 16 WITH a CD ROM and some number (8 or 10 or something) games!

My mom made me install it myself.

This was in the DOS 4.0 / 5.0 days. You didn't just plug it up and it "works"...you had to understand IRQs and jumpers and a bunch of other stuff...

Software AND hardware config.

My mom handed me Peter Norton's "Inside the PC" book and said, "you've got another week off before school, if you want to play Falcon 4.0, figure it out"

I did...and that changed my whole view on how computers work from toasters for my convenience to complex machines that deserve my respect.

To let you know what a Soundblaster 16 could do for your 286 - 486 machine...

This was considered AMAZING when I was growing up.

It's a sound card.

There are times I wish I grew up in the era. That is why I try to spend time working with a raspberry pi. But I can never seem to find a project to work on. Or I end up having to many projects
