One Little Spark...
As far as Pokemon creepyness, I'm just gonna say Lavender Town.
I dunno...there was this episode I saw last night where this doctor couldn't "refuse pretty little girls" (that's exactly what he said, or something like that...but, if you knew his character, who throughout the episode hit on every girl he met, and not like Brock, but rather leeringly creepy, asking them "out for pizza"...)...

Yeah.

There are a lot of things in the cartoon series that make you go...hrm...

Omg yeas, I remember that now. I just mention Lavender town because they bury dead pokemon and it's haunted by the spirit of dead pokemon, plus there is the creepy tale someone created it about it causing murders and suicides in real life.. Messed up stuff man.

Here's where I got the info.

http://www.boxofficemojo.com/genres/chart/?id=animation.htm

Note, those are only US domestic box office numbers...not DVD sales or international box office (that's why Frozen isn't #1...because, in the US box office, it isn't #1. :p

Pokemon was #84, Atlantis was #88. Not too shabby!
It had a bigger opening weekend than Aladdin, Mulan, Pocahontas, Bolt, Toy Story, and Hercules to name a few. Pokémon Film #1 is #61 biggest weekend opening domestic wise.
Pokémon Film #2 is #88 bigest weekend opening which beat Aladdin

I'll check it out. I'm not a huge fan of anime, but I enjoy some of it. I'm far from otaku though. :p
I'm not the biggest fan, and my parents can't really stand it. My GF and I started watching it and both my parents and us got sucked it. Its a beautiful story.

I generally like the popular stuff. I do have a soft spot for the Robotech / Macross series because it was my favorite TV show growing up...but it gets really weird about halfway through. Though, I'll still happily pop one in the DVD player.

I enjoy Pokemon so far, and I LOVE Avatar (both series, though the first one was better than Korra, I think).

I enjoy most of the Studio Gibli stuff, and Mononuke is one of my top 10 favorite movies. I like Akira.

I never could get into Dragonball or Naruto.

Anything more "hard core" than those sort of offerings, and while I'll watch it, I'm really not interested.

We are on the same level of Anime love them. I am about the same level, I have one or two more series I enjoy like FCLC and The Last Exile, but no Anime and possibly film I have seen in recent years touch the story of the Wind rises, It touches on the topic of why we try to live while telling a story of love and drama, a great final film by Hayao
