My understanding was Mewtwo was always cannon and always 150 on the pokemon list, mew was the oddity coming in a 151. In fact he was not designed by the development team but added as a prank by a developer during the development of Red and Blue (which are the American Releases, the original releases we Green and Red in Japan two years prior), Mew was added after the debuging and testing (or atleast that is how the story goes).
I'm mistake Mew was found in the Green/Red japanese releases. They were the same development period. The other story is that mew was created to have hype of an invisible character within the game that would spread hype and keep the game alive.

I'm just surprised it beat Mario Kart 7 and Super Smash Bros
It's not surprising. Pokemon traditionally has had the higher following and the handheld market is "cheaper" all my friends had a gameboy, but no necessary a console which is what mario Kart and Super made there name on. The people who are gonna buy Mario Kart and Smash are gonna get it on a console for the multiplayer.

Does it involve Inspector Gadget?
No it involves the S.S Anne episode, the purposed ending involve them all dying with the episode following the sinking of the ship being Jenny laying a wreath on the water and the families mourning the death. Like I said purposed and I only know this from a con when one of the story writers told the story.

:eek:That is dark and twisted.

Atlantis was considered a flop, but that's just as much due to WHEN it came out (a period when Disney was looking hard at paring down Animation again), and Roy Disney and Eisner were at each other's throats (as I recall the story)...

It made more money than Nightmare Before Christmas, which isn't considered a "flop"...

Yes but you have to remember Japan is far more open to theses ideas there are currently Atleast 3 episode never shown America.
The Epilepsy Episode
An Episode where James becomes a very convencing trans.
An Episode where A gun is pulled against Ash.

The Tentacool and Tenta Cruel episode was taken off rotation after 9/11

Also a episode with Jynx was banbed in america because it look like a blackface actress.

I would take Atlantis over Nightmare any day.

Atlantis was the only one that I know was considered a flop. it was odd you put in your list however for that reason.
Here's where I got the info.

http://www.boxofficemojo.com/genres/chart/?id=animation.htm

Note, those are only US domestic box office numbers...not DVD sales or international box office (that's why Frozen isn't #1...because, in the US box office, it isn't #1. :p

Pokemon was #84, Atlantis was #88. Not too shabby!

Didn't they remake the Jynx and James one? Tentacool & Tentacrool is back on air I remember seeing it, and I'm pretty sure it was after 9/11.

Jynx was remade to be more purple, James I can't remember if it's on American Rotation, I don't think it was
Tentacool and Tentacrool were added back to rotation in 2005.

James cross dresses a lot...so...I'm not sure which exact episode you are talking about. And, I've only watched Season 1 of Indigo! :p
