The Single Best Resort from All the Moderate and Deluxe Resorts???

Crush Dude!

Back from WDW!Counting down to DLP in November!
Hi folks heading to the world in bwt 10 days for 3 weeks staying at Pop Century! When i was 12 i stayd at All Star Music with my uncle and last year i started my own trips after 10 years and stayd at All Star Movies with my DGF and her DD and only switchd to Pop Century coz d bus shared way too much last year 4 my liking and pop had hundreds of dem in comparison! Anyway, on to my point, next year wev sum work to do with our house and were completely changing our garden so beyond a miracle it will be 2011 before we return to the world (hopefully for wdw 40th birthday celebrations) and given a 2 year break im pretty sure we will be able to afford a minimum of 3 weeks at a mod or a deluxe and in my opinion u guys are brill for info and uv all had sum great trips to d world (loving disneygirl76 trip report of the Grand Floridian) and prob more than i will ever get 2 have in my lifetime so i want to hear everyones opinion on what the best mod or deluxe is out of all the resorts in The World????? Your opinions/reviews will be greatly appreciated and will influence my choice, thanx very much in advance for any and all opinions!!

Before I state my opinion, let me tell you..... you will get tons of differing opinions on here about the moderates. Go to allearsnet.com and look at all the pictures and read reviews and decide what YOU like.

Ok...on to my opinion: I LOVE LOVE LOVE Port Orleans Riverside. I've stayed there several times over many years. I even stayed there when it was called Dixie Landings. It is the best mod you can get. Now, let me also add that Port Orleans French Quarter is also wonderful. They could be one resort IMO. You won't get better landscaping, even at a deluxe. The food court is the best of the mods, too. The only warning is -- ASK FOR A ROOM NEAR THE MAIN BUILDING. We got lucky on our first stay there and were placed in Oak Manor which is very close.

Just research all of them.

We're gradually working our way through all the resorts. We've only repeated once and that was POFQ. It is so small, quaint and really wonderful. No rooms are a long walk to the main building and there's only one bus stop. Sometimes buses are shared with POR, other times not. We really like it!

We've also stayed at Contemporary, AKL, Polynesian and all the values except AS Sport [next year]. This August we're at Beach Club. All that we've stayed at had something unique and wonderful, so recommending anything is hard.

This is a very subjective question, but I love AKL. There is nothing like walking out on your balcony and watching zebras and giraffes.

It's a phenomenal place. The atmosphere is extremely unique and very relaxed. They also offer unique things to guests. They have phenomenal food choices and I love the store. Even when I'm not staying, I make it a point to visit The Mara (counter service restaurant in Jambo House) for some Zebra Domes. It's one of my all time favorite places in WDW.

Anybody have any more views on this???

Polynesian is the best, and my wife and I have stayed everywhere on property. The Polynesian just feels like the epitome of WDW, takes you somewhere else, and is nostolgic. We choose to stay there over any resort...although the others (Contemporary, Grand Floridian, Yacht and Beach Club) are all wonderful.

My friend and her husband, however, stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge, and thought it was fantastic.

Polynesian...can't beat the location! Monorail or boat to the MK, short walk to the TTC for the Epcot monorail, views of the MK, beautiful grounds, REAL coffee bar in the lobby, and some of the largest rooms on property.

I've stayed at all the moderates except POFQ and I would pick POR. It's so nice and relaxed, great pool, good table service place and great food court,

The deluxes are harder to pick from I think. I've done WL, Poly, Contemporary, and AKL. I think I would pick the Poly because it has both great theming and location. The location of the Contemporary (and so fabulos CMs) can not be beat and the theming and enviroment at AKL is out of this world but it is so far away. So I would chose the Poly.

I personally will always have a soft spot for The Boardwalk because that is where I stayed when I got engaged to my wife. It is actually a beautiful place to stay and I loved waking up in the morning and taking a walk on the Boardwalk and smelling the bakery first thing in the morning.
As for the Moderate resorts, I really enjoyed the Port Orleans Riverside. I thought the rustic feel made it very relaxing and you feel like you are on vacation.
