Hhhmmmm...what to do??? Trying to think what I want for my 40th in June 2014. Not as interested in Italy as I am other destinations, European & Asian. Alaska is definitely on my radar but I've been reading about other tours that do a lot more and on a smaller, more personal scale. None of the Caribbean ports excite me anymore than the same ones the Fantasy has been hitting since day one. I've got 2 dummy bookings I need to move but no solid direction I want to go with them. What to dooooooo????

I don’t know… I am slightly disappointed right now. We cannot do more than a 7 night cruise and the Magic in Europe is doing 9 nights on the one we would be interested. We already did the Western Med. so we want to do Eastern. I would love to sail the Fantasy to the Eastern Caribbean but we usually take our trip in August and with hurricanes and going from heat to heat it just doesn’t interest us. BOO…

I have the opposite problem There are too many I want to do!

Can someone adopt me. I'd like to go to Alaska or Europe. Don't worry... my wife can stay home with the kids. :D

I'm sure your wife won't mind at all! :)

We would love to do all of them but we just can’t do over a 7 night which if you think about it for Europe is a 9 night with flights and stuff. The Caribbean in my opinion is stupid in the Summer because it’s hurricane season and going hot to hot. Alaska we are doing this year and we are doing Bahamas as well. Maybe I can do some convincing on the 9 night out of Venice. ;)

Europe is long once you figure in travel time, but you spend so much to get over there, you need to stay long enough to make it worth it! :)

I dunno. I'm thinking so much about what to do to turn the big 4-0. The ultimate to me would be one of the Viking River Cruises in Russia. ((Was just looking. Viking offers 2 for 1 round trip air which comes out to like $800 each to fly to Moscow. Plus all transfers. Now THAT is a good deal!)) Or Tokyo. It's hard because my birthday is at a crappy time of year (early June) so travel is over-priced due to demand and any Disney parks will be over-packed. Both of those things are kinda deal-breakers for me. Then it's HOT. Nooooo thanks.

I was really hoping Disney would go to the Baltic again which would've been a no-brainer. They aren't. The Panama Canal cruises would be cool. Maybe I'll look at one of those.

Originally I was hoping to use a dummy towards opening day prices of a Christmas 2014 cruise. I've since looked at opening day prices on current holiday cruises and even opening day was stupid high. The discount doesn't do much overall when you can sail at other times for considerably less than even a discounted holiday opening day price.

Sooooo....I'm clueless. I guess I'll just push the dummies further out and not worry about booking something on opening day. I don't do impulsive very well. LOL! It's like I told Tracey on this last cruise and he was lecturing me about booking a 3rd dummy to hold onto. I don't see the point in having so many of those because when we travel it's usually during slower times using specials that can't be combined with discounts anyway.

So you just want me to move the dummies? You don't have to be impulsive! :)

I was wondering if you would try for a Panama Canal cruise this time.

I'm leaning towards the San Diego to Vancouver cruise myself. And some others, but that's the first one that's jumping out at me. If we weren't going to the Med this summer, I'd jump on a Venice cruise.

I agree, I am in love with the San Diego to Vancouver cruise. I gotta see the dates for the 9 night Venice so I can see it I can convince my dad.

Alaska from Vancouver

In 2014, the Disney Wonder will sail seven-night cruises from Vancouver to Tracy Arm, Skagway, Juneau and
Ketchikan, Alaska. One special nine-night cruise calls on Sitka, Alaska – a first for Disney Cruise Line.
Rates start at $1,015 per person for seven-night cruises and $1,305 per person for the nine-night Alaska cruise for a
standard inside stateroom, based on double occupancy.
Seven-night Alaska:
Ports: Vancouver, Tracy Arm (scenic cruising through fjord), Skagway, Juneau, Ketchikan
Departure dates: June 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, July 7, 14, 21, 28, Aug. 4, 11, 18, 25, Sept. 1
NEW Nine-night Alaska:
Ports: Vancouver, Sitka, Tracy Arm (scenic cruising through fjord), Skagway, Juneau, Ketchikan
Departure Date May 24
Wow, the 9 night one is tempting, with an additional stop in Sitka (isn't that the city where that Sandra Bullock movie, The Proposal was filmed?). I want to tag on a DL trip with this cruise. So I guess I better stick with the September sailing since that's probably a better time for DL than early June. So many choices :)
