Trip Report The Real Housewives of Disney-A Sept 2013 Cruise/WDW Trip Report

I guess I'll join the Girl's cruise crowd and start my trip report!

“Howdy Folks!” Welcome to another PartOfYourWorld trip report! This is my second attempt at writing a trip report, because I was about 4 days in when my Mac decided to not download something and my hard drive had to get wiped..well at least this was the only thing I lost really! I just had to start over again! Here is a little bit of info before we begin….

The When: Saturday September 7th-Sunday September 15th

The Where:7: POR Royal Room; 8-12: Disney Dream; 12-15: Wilderness Lodge

The characters: Mom and I along with 20+ of our WDWMagic friends! (Thanks to someone for the instagram pic!)

I had the most amazing time with the ladies on this cruise, and highly suggest it if you can go since it is now an annual thing! We made some lifelong friends here, and I can’t wait to get this trip report started! “Now then, hang on to them hats and glasses, cause this here’s the wildest ride in the wilderness!”


Saturday September 7th-Arrival Day

We arrived at the airport for our flight, before anything though, some Dunkin was a must!

Before we knew it, it was time to board and we were ready to head to Orlando!

We had some nice seats right over the wing!

Another thing that was pretty cool was that it was a wi-fi enabled flight, and I was pretty excited to use flight tracker! Here we are flying over North Carolina.

Finally, after what seemed like forever we were in the sunshine state!

Our flight landing was pretty rough; it felt like the left side tires in the back had hit the ground first along with the front, then the right followed after. We definitely landed at an angle and it was a little scary! But we made it safe and sound after that and soon we found ourselves on the lovely monorail wannabe!

We had to wait a good 30 minutes for our luggage, it took awhile for the bags to come off our flight. I know we should make use of the luggage service for DME, but I would rather take my own bags and have them right away then wait for possibly 3 hours until you get your bags in your room.

Once we got our luggage we headed straight to DME where we were able to use our magicbands that we got for this stay! It was super easy and great because you didn’t have to fumble with the paperwork!

We didn’t have to wait long at all for a bus, there was one already outside waiting! And look at this sign…we’ll be headed that way tomorrow!

We didn’t end up with the regular DME bus, but rather a Water Parks one!

Finally, the heaven’s gates opened and…oh wait it’s just the gates to Walt Disney World no big deal or anything

We were the last drop-off on DME (figures usually we’re always one of the first) but we were finally here at Port Orleans Riverside (my favorite moderate resort!-next to POFQ)

Check-in was a breeze and we were soon on our way to our Royal Room!

We were in the beautiful Oak Manor section.

Sherry’s Maple Crème Brulee that we all shared..it was pretty yummy!

Our most delicious dinner was over and we made out way out of the park because we had some Wishes to catch!

We made it to the Magic Kingdom!!!!

Before staking out a spot for Wishes, we went on a ride on the Haunted Mansion!

We grabbed a spot on that off to the side path that we usually always go. Celebrate the Magic had the special Villains edition on!

We waited a little while for traffic to subside and made our way out of the Kingdom.

It was a little bit of a wait still for the boat back to Wilderness Lodge, but that’s okay because we had some friends to keep us company!

We headed straight to bed when we got back because we had a busy day with the Villains the next day!

Ugh, can it be April yet?! I have a feeling that your warning you gave me about after staying at a new resort I won't want to go back to values will be true- also going to kind of try that with restaurants. Anyways, keep posting! Love the report and I am currently living vicariously through your pictures!

Don't worry I haven't done much either! Just one ADR and waiting for hotel discounts to come out! Maybe after that I'll be more focused on it! lol. And thanks Jess!

After mixology was over, some of us had a celebratory shot for Sherry’s birthday!!! It tasted a little caramelly it was pretty good.

We met everyone else on the stairs in the lobby, we took a picture of our whole group together with our wonderful cruise ears! Wish I had a picture to put here, but we did buy the picture that they took! See @sweetpee_1993's trip report I think she posted it there! (I haven't read it yet but I've heard of it! )

We got ready for dinner, and came back down to meet Goofy in his formal wear!

Tonight’s show was Believe in the Walt Disney Theatre..couldn’t believe this was our last night on board.

Here’s Jess, Courtney, Holly, and Shannon with Komgrit.

After the show, we saw that the Captain was giving autographs. We jumped in line to meet him! He was so nice! It was great to see Captain Guus again!

We had a lot of time before dinner and there was a wicked sunset going on and we went out to catch it!

We went to our stateroom to drop off our things we had signed.

We had a little frog friend tonight!

OMG, I didn't realize it was your first time at WL--what a fantastic resort!! We've stayed there twice, and it's really just phenomenal.

Love the picture of you, Jess, "texting or twittering or whatnot" LOL

And what it is with the SSE cameras that make those weird extra bits to everyone's heads???

Not sure yet, may not try it this trip and just stick to what I know what my friend will like. It's so exciting planning a trip for someone who has never been before! Believe it or not I have never eaten at Le Cellier (and I'm from Canada)!

There ya go, it is definitely exciting planning a trip for someone who hasn't been! It was like that for my husband, sort of on our honeymoon he hadn't been since he was 12 years old so & he didn't remember a whole lot especially restaurants so it was cool planning things he never tried! Even with our upcoming trip I made sure to try places he hasn't been yet. You should definitely try LeCellier sometime!!!! That soup is just to die for. Seriously.

Yes it was! It was so fantastic...the scenery there is just BEAUTFUL. I love it!

I know! I never knew why the cameras do that....must be some sort of sensor where if your head isn't in a particular spot it creates those weird bits? I have no idea. Makes everyone look funky

Day 2 comments!

I think we all want that pillow!

I like the picture of the three of us on the verandah while we were docking in Nassau.

The Disney Cruise Line breakfast was very good, I had it on another morning.

I never even made it to the Goofy sports deck! Must do that on the Fantasy cruise next year.

Never did the Midship Detective Agency either. I am gonna have a big list of things to do next year!

I never got to try Cabanas again for lunch.

Wish I would have met more characters on the cruise.

I loved Villains Tonight! Hades was hilarious!!

I am so great at Vanna Whiting! lol.

Even though Mirror, Mirror was not something we wanted to experience, I did enjoy seeing Dopey.

I so called the answer to the question, Where was the most interesting place you have ever had the Magic happen?

The bartenders at Pink were hilarious! Siobhan and I were the last two and they thought we were gonna pay for everyone. I didn't even have a drink!

Day 3 comments!

Pulling into Castaway Cay was one of the most beautiful sights I have ever seen! I took dozens of pictures that morning.

I took that pic of ya'll with your medals!

And just think, while ya'll were running the 5k in the heat and humidity, I was meeting and greeting Captain Jack Sparrow.

I had lunch on the ship while it rained. Glad I wasn't on the beach in that weather.

I will have to remember to post the picture that I took of mom when she took that picture of us.

I loved meeting Pirate Minnie and Mickey. I especially loved being proposed to by Mickey.

Day 4 comments!

PALO, PALO, PALO!!!! Do you think I could get that pizza delivered? With a side of soup, and chicken parm? Hell, why not just bring me the whole thing. I told my best friend that I want to eat there at least twice next year. We do have three sea days!

I loved that special seating area. It was so beautiful.

Oh those sticky rolls. And that cheese. I wish I knew the name of that cheese we all liked.

That was some of the best pizza I have ever had. When I asked for only cheese, I meant no other toppings. But they didn't even put sauce. It was still delicious. I may order two next time!

Chicken Parm was so delish!

That little pot of chocolate was to die for. I wish I could get a gallon of it to go!

I loved that Mom and I were comparing all the desserts. Ya'll kept looking at us like we were nuts.

Max and Goofy!

Chip and Dale loved you!

I enjoyed mixology class, even though I didn't make a drink. And not being a big drinker, all the drinks were pretty good.

I can't believe that it was time for our last dinner.

Crush was hilarious! He could not get over that 27 ladies were there together. He was very excited by the idea of all us ladies.

And my pasta dish I had that night was my favorite of the cruise. But now they don't serve it anymore.

I loved that we at least stepped in the pool.

Is it really time to leave? I don't wanna! Wait I'll see you the next three days in Disney? Okay, I guess I'll be able to handle that.

OMG Castaway Cay was so beautiful...it was nice to see us docking because when Mike and I went, we woke up to pulling into the dock already so we didn't see it from afar.

You were the lucky one because we missed him that night!

You need to eat there for dinner tooo one night! Totally worth the $25 or $20 extra whatever it is. And do brunch again!!!! Twice! For the price it's totally worth it!!!!

haha thanks! Hot Topic was where I got all those shirts! And now I noticed stores like Forever 21, rue21, Wet Seal and others are coming out with Disney clothing, but I have to say I still think Hot Topic's collection is still the best.

And I didn't take a picture of it engraved no :/ I forgot, but it was the ring ornament of Mickey and Minnie that I toook in the beginnning! It now just has our wedding date on the diamond

Friday September 13th-Unleash the Villains!

Good morning from a foggy Wilderness Lodge!!!

We were up early for a beautiful villainous day at Hollywood Studios! We headed down for some breakfast at Roaring Forks! Taking a million more pictures of the lobby along the way of course!

Not sure what we had for breakfast, I think it was just bagels, I didn’t take a picture and we stopped in the gift shop before we hit up the busses.

I love how the coke machines by the busses have a Wilderness Lodge theme going on.

New Disney bus! Didn’t get a chance to ride one of those this trip!

Hello Hollywood Studios!!!!! My favorite

So excited for this tonight!!!!

I think first we did what everyone does and grabbed some fastpasses for Toy Story Mania later in the day. Then headed down towards the Tower of Terror to meet some family friends that were also on vacation. Funny how you hardly see people at home yet you see them when you’re on vacation in Disney World LOL.

Today would be a most villainous day!

We said goodbye to our friends because we had fastpass+ reservations for Voyage of the Little Mermaid! And it was a good thing too because the first show was already packed and there was a huge standby line that we passed by and it was only 10:45! Had a feeling this park would reach some sort of capacity tonight…..

We headed back towards Sunset Boulevard so I could ride the Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster single rider and on the way met @plaz10! Seriously, we belong in Hollywood, who could refuse us?

We walked back over to Hollywood Blvd where I saw my favorite Citizen of Hollywood standing all by himself…..I texted @jesemeca to come and join me because he was her favorite too so she was definitely on her way! But I grabbed my chance since there was no one else around and got lassoed! (Don’t tell Mike shhh!)

I seriously just couldn’t contain my excitement with my goofy grin

Not soon after Jess came by and we grabbed another picture. We talked to him and he asked us about the Villains how he was excited for the party tonight too and we told him he was our favorite. I think I may have said a few other things to him I just can’t get enough of him seriously. I <3 Beau Wrangler

Our next stop was the best hotel on the west side of Hollywood. My whole light fixture obsession went to a whole other level here.
