Pre-Trip The Princesses Return!

Hello friends! Remember us? :)

If you don't know us and would like to, you can read about our last trip here!
http://forums.wdwmagic.com/threads/when-in-disney-june-2015-trip-report.900769/

I'm sure you've figured it out by now, but just in case you haven't… WE'VE BOOKED OUR NEXT TRIP!!!!!!! :D Let's talk plans!

Who: I'm Brittany (on the right) and this will be my 8th trip to WDW! I'm the planner, organizer, tour guide, etc. I'll be 23 years old at the time of our trip. I'll be accompanied by the lovely lady on the left, Heather. We've been best friends for most of our lives and Disney is an integral part of that friendship. ;) This will be her 4th trip to WDW, all of which have been with me. I'm extremely fortunate that she puts up with my compulsive planning and bossiness. She'll be 25 years old at the time of our trip.

When: June 7th - June 14th, 2016

How: Spirit Airlines out of Latrobe, PA. Our flight leaves at 5:25pm, putting us in Orlando at 7:39pm. We'll catch a ride on the Magical Express to our resort.. Those of you who read my last TR will recall how excited I get about ME. :p:rolleyes:

Where: All Star Sports; I toyed around with the thought of staying at one of the more expensive resorts, however we spend VERY little time in our room during our trips so I just couldn't justify it. Still, this will be a new resort for us and that's always exciting!

Other: We tried PhotoPass for the first time last trip and absolutely loved it, so we've purchased that again for this trip! We'll be on the Dining Plan this trip, which we've never done before! I think we're really going to like the "all inclusive" feel that this creates and foresee us using it on all future trips.

I'll include our park plans and ADR's in my next post, but for now I'll leave you with this…

WE'RE GOING TO DISNEY!!!!!!!!!

Let's talk ADR's!

Tuesday, 6/7: No ADRs. This is our arrival day, and we won't get in until late so we'll just grab something from the food court.

Wednesday, 6/8:
Breakfast @ Cinderella's Royal Table (9:10am) The park opens at 9am this day, so we should still be able to gain early entry.. right!? I hope so, because last year's breakfast plans ended up getting ruined by EMH. :( I've had lunch here, Heather has never eaten here. She's super excited for this one because Cinderella is her favorite! We'll probably grab a snack for lunch and eat QS for dinner.

Thursday, 6/9: Lunch @ Be Our Guest (12:25pm) AND Dinner @ Be Our Guest (6:15pm) We may cancel the lunch reservation, I'm not sure yet. I just figured that if we're doing the Dining Plan, we might as well get the most out of it. The same restaurant two times in a matter of hours may not be ideal, but this is the only day that it worked to reserve lunch. I've done both lunch and dinner here, Heather has done dinner. I know they're pretty much the same, but this is my favorite restaurant on property and Belle/Beauty and the Beast is my favorite! :)

Friday, 6/10: Lunch @ 50's Prime Time Cafe (12:40pm) We ate here last trip and absolutely loved every part of it! When we started talking plans for this year, this was one of the first things we agreed was a must do. We're both super excited for this one! We'll do a QS for dinner.

Saturday, 6/11: Dinner @ Whispering Canyon Cafe (7:15pm) This is our day off from the parks, so we decided to spend the day resort hopping and I've had my eye on this place for awhile. From what I've read, the experience is good old-fashioned fun just like Prime Time. Right up our alley. This is a new one for both of us. I didn't tell Heather about the "experience" part, and can't wait to make her ask for ketchup. ;) We'll do a QS lunch either at one of the resorts or DD (I can't call it Disney Springs) depending on where we are when we're ready to eat.

Sunday, 6/12: Dinner @ Garden Grill (6:35pm) We debated for quite some time about where we wanted to eat this day. We finally decided on this one, mostly because it's a character meal and I think will be a good use of a TS credit. I've always been intrigued by this restaurant and its spinning, and that entire building always smells so good. QS lunch somewhere in the World Showcase. This is another new one for both of us.

Monday, 6/13: Lunch @ Tony's Town Square (1:25pm) This was another "we're on the dining plan" reservation. It's a restaurant we've been wanting to try, but wouldn't be real high on the priority list if we were paying out of pocket. I've heard pretty good reviews, and we love Italian! QS dinner probably at Cosmic Ray's. This is also a new one for both of us.

Tuesday, 6/14: Departure day :( We'll just grab something at the food court before we board the Tragical Express.

As far as which park we're doing each day.. we don't do park hoppers so we'll be spending the day in whatever park we have an ADR at. We're not doing Animal Kingdom again this year.. It's not a favorite so we're just going to hold off until the Avatar expansion is open. We always start and end our trip at Magic Kingdom because it's our favorite and it simply doesn't get any more magical. :inlove:

That pretty much covers the extent of our planning for now. Thanks for reading and I'll update as more info becomes available! :)

Yay! So excited for you! Your plans look great. My sister and I are going "home" next month and we will be using the dining plan for the first time. We managed to get a dinner ADR at BOG and we are super excited about it. I've been there for lunch, but not dinner. We've enjoyed Whispering Canyon and Tony's Town Square on previous trips. I've always wanted to eat at 50's Prime Time Cafe. It looks like so much fun. Loved your last TR and I will be looking forward to reading all about this trip as well.

I'll be on the look out again! We'll be down at the same time too! :cyclops:

Yes!! When I saw that you had commented, I was like, "I wonder if he's going the same time again!?" :p

Thank you! BOG is so awesome.. Meeting the Beast was the highlight of my last trip! You should definitely try Prime Time. It's totally worth it! Thanks for reading, and hope to see a TR from you upon your return. :)

Meeting the Beast is one of the things I am most looking forward to. I will definitely be writing a TR.

Yep! We chose that week for our annual trip! Sunday the 5th until the 11th. This time it's just my family going.

My wife, son and I are going end of January on a Disney cruise for my 40th as well.

Love the matching tees. Your trip sounds fantastic. However, I must disagree that lunch and dinner at BOG is basically the same. While the restaurant décor is the same, it is a more relaxed pace at dinner. Plus the dinner menu is better and you can drink. Alcohol. The only place in the Magic Kingdom you can.

You're right about the differing atmosphere at BOG. We had wine last year when we went and it was SO GOOD. Best I've ever had. So I'm sure we'll probably do that again this year. It's just a great overall experience and I'm really looking forward to eating there again!

Since this is a special trip with your BFF, splurge and get the champagne. My daughter somehow managed to find a bottle of the special champagne they serve at BOG. The bottle was really pretty, but the champagne was a pale blue - think they added blueberries in the fermenting process. But it was still delicious.

That sounds SO yummy! I'll keep that in mind, thanks for the tip! :p

We've talked about doing one, and definitely will. However, I want to save for awhile so that we can do a cruise, sandwiched with days at WDW before or after (or maybe both ;)). I simply wouldn't be able to stand being that close without getting a few days in the parks!

We will be there with you this June too! :) And we have also done the BOG lunch/BOG dinner on the same day. Sat in two different rooms and the food was different, we enjoyed ourselves!

Your plans look so exciting! You are so fortunate to have a friend who you are so close to and who shares your love of Disney! You'll have a wonderful trip.

It seems like you guys are big on MK like us. I can appreciate your outlook on why you chose your resort. If you're not going to spend a ton of time there, why bother spending a ton of money on your stay? I can also appreciate your view on AK and not getting hoppers. Just a warning about going to WL for Whispering Canyon: you're probably going to fall in love with the resort!

Wishing you a great trip!

Yay! We will be there at the same time too! We go June 2-11. It doesn't sound like we'll cross paths though because we will be in different parks on our overlapping days. Have a great trip!!

That's the way to go! In a few weeks, we will be going to MK for a day before we board the ship.

I know the feeling of being in Florida and being so close and not going to WDW. I mean, is there any other reason to be in Florida???;)

So happy you have booked and look forward to reading about your trip - it will get me though until my next trip in November.
