Trip Report THE ONE WITH A FEW MAGICIANS IN AUGUST 🤡COMPLETE🤡

Hello again.
I have another trip booked in less than three weeks so I need to power through this. So let’s go.....

In my last TR you all convinced me to take a side trip to WDW after dropping my son off at school. I was on the fence until one poster (I am too lazy to look it up) said they would never pass up an opportunity to visit WDW. I agree.

Not too long after that we had a big family get together and I asked if anyone wanted to drive down to Florida with X and I then go to WDW with me for a couple days. My 16YO nephew said yes but he is kind of a nervous type so I did not take him seriously. A few days later his mother, my SIL said, “you know J was serious right?”

I went on DVC and booked a room immediately. I could not believe my luck when I got a 1BR at Boardwalk. I have been trying for 12 years to stay there. Yay!!!

THEN my SIL, also being the nervous type, said she would go too. WHAT???
She was just there at Christmas and she is going with me in September for food and wine. This is way out of character for her.

THEN my youngest, Dre, decides he wants to go. Wait. We are not all going to fit in X’s
truck.

SIL suggests she fly down with the boys and meet me at Disney. That is what we did. Let me tell you about it......

Thank you and thanks for reading. The day before we left to drive down X went and got his hair cut off. No more Vinny resemblance anymore. But wait until you see my youngest, Dre. Spitting image of X. Pre haircut✂️

I will. When his hair grows out. I told him he could be Vinny for halloween but his friends wont get it.

He will only go to Rita. She has been cutting his hair since he was little. So the entire time he is at school he wont cut his hair. Last year one of his professors was at his game and she introduced herself to me. She had a little boy with the same hair. I asked where she got it cut so I could tell X. She said she alread told him😂 (yep, he totally ignored the hint!)

I have never seen it so I thought I would stop and watch. I lasted about two minutes. I was way too excited to watch. I wanted to do. But do what? I had a little time before my PP FP. I thought I would head to Fantasyland and see what was happening.

How, no what, is that barrier made of that it can hold back all that water? And why dont they put those up all around Florida when a hurricane comes through?

I love the juxtaposition of the castle and Tommorowland in the background. (School started today-I am breaking out the SAT words📚🙂)

Small world was a long wait and I was a tad hungry. That publix sandwich was pretty bland and did not satisfy me. I wasnt starving but my taste buds were under utilized. When in Disney my taste buds want chicken nuggets. (Am I right @Tashifer90 😋you know what I am talking about)

I went into Pinocchios Village haus. Or is it House? Or, is it restaurant? Anyhow, I went in there and I got me some golden delicious piping hot tender fried chicken nuggets. With some fries and a diet coke (Caffeine!!).

I made a friend.

I took my morsels of mercy and sat at a table. There was another empty table next to me and a young man (young to me! Early 20’s?) came over to size it up. It was next to one of those half walls and right next to a walkway. He was moving chairs around and his Dad came up in a scooter and I realized he was trying to make a spot for him so he would not be blocking the walkway.
I asked if he wanted to trade tables. The son said no thanks but the Dad said yes. I moved. I would not offer if I didnt mean it.

Then daughter and Mom, in another scooter came up. Mom parked on the outside of their table. Dad was still on the outside of my new table which was his original table. I asked if they wanted to push the tables together to make more room. They declined. Mom said she needed to stretch her legs so got up and sat on the inside of the table. I was on the inside of my table. Dad was on the outside of my table. Dad told Mom he was eating with me😊
They all had nuggets too!
They were from Pittsburg and were down celebrating Mom and Dad’s anniversary.
They were telling me about the condo they rented from VRBO. It sounded amazing, until they told me it was 30 minutes away. I felt sad.
I bid them farewell and ventured toward my first FP and first attraction. Peter Pan.
There was no line. Unless they were hiding it somewhere. I tapped and walked up and there was not one other person that I could see. I know standby gets queued up around the outside but I didnt see them so it counts (aka I will allow it!)

First thing I noticed was the color of my pirate ship reminded me of Hollywood Studios. Look
