I loved the Seas Original Pavillon. Miss it Today however I was able to watch a young dolphin in training and some giant Stingray.

FYI these are Live Photo’s

I agree with you about Splash, we rarely ride it because we detest getting wet on rides. The ride is fun until you get to that wet part. We have a fastpass coming up for our July trip but only because it is part of our Frontierland Friday theme so we must do all Frontierland attractions. But you can bet your boots there will be two people on that ride sporting their ponchos.

Whatever happened it has become so much more drenching since the last refurbishment. It is not a SPLASH any longer. We are also starting to come off Pirates wet at times too especially in certain rows, I avoid at night now, also Fronzen is leaving guests wet enough to look like they've wet their pants.

Kali I did in 2016 and likely won't do it again for another 10 years. At least that time I brought dry clothing with knowing we were going to give it another chance.

I am still in awe of Splash. Another Imagineering marvel. Still winter or Summmer night or day we are getting wetter and wetter and Disney is selling more and more staple clothing in their Gift Shop at the end of the ride. Coincidence I think not.

It was later in the afternoon and I had an anytime FP. I wanted to ride but no interest in being soaked throughout every layer of clothes. During the ride I put on my disposable poncho. Tucked myself in and sat on it. Only my hair was wet. The woman I front of me at the exit had water just running off her clothing. Felt so badly for her the splash from the end outside waterfall isn’t necessary and guests sit there for staging inside for final scene getting wetter and soaked. The water cannons can be turned up or down or even off. These have been ramped up over the years. I wish they’d revisit thatView attachment 282259View attachment 282260
This water cannon after the drop is unnecessary and fully turned up. A mist maybe during the day. Full soaking not pleasant

NOTE. The jumping water room was totally offline and still the first14 Days. Yesterday the jumping ones SOME were again working. Not all. The fountain pots that shoot up still still. But the critter dropping from ceiling is once again back proclaiming his university.
Totally agree with you about that waterfall. It is not the splash down that gets you soaked, but that waterfall!

This attraction still bugs me. It is cute but in the era it was built half was done minimalist new millennium and the other half 1971 plywood. In the same general timeframe Tokyo built a Pooh that is gripping. The reason it bugs me. While cute a BMI has better one was already out there

I also can’t believe they built an attraction with a claimable fence queue. Kids are bored standing in lines and of course they try to entertain themselves. Look up and down the queue and the battle of get down, get off, come here. Oy.

So what happens when you finish the drink? Can they cut up the pineapple for you to eat later? It seems like a waste of a pineapple to just throw it away.

There is nothing about the Lapu Lapu that is a waste. Nom Nom Nom 😋 The pineapple is hollow That is where the lovely ADULT nectar goes.

Have you ever seen a professional pineapple corer? They leave very little pineapple fruit behind. Our local grocer sells the whole cylinders plucked away from the outer skin. Given the Poly restaurants and lounges I can say with some certainty the pineapple inners have many purposes and likely not wasted.

The farm house with the barking dog has always been my favorite scene on LWTL. :cat:

Mine too!

Before Walt I had two golden retrievers at the same time. I sent them to the spa in the country when we would do our 2 week trips. That scene always made me think of them as did the golden in the Pirate (now replaced with a mutt pup.) I rode LwtL many times as I did Soarin usually in tandem, and I kept trying to read the mailbox but it has a weird shadow on it, I eventually took a photo of it, lightened it so I could read it, then understanding the route number for the year Epcot/Pavilion opened.

I do miss the attractions as minior as they were that were once housed in the Land. Add to the list the once yummy Strawberry Shortcake.
Can you tell I am bitter about that still?

Much more to write even though I am back in Illinois. Almost a month. Still didn't want to come home, really no desire to leave my Happy Place. After a week of commando with the kids I took the parks with an approach I never did before and did many things I never did before.
Unique touring.

Getting back home was a challenge over multiple days. Lost items, delayed, cancelled flights adding 3 more days than I should have been there. Bonus. The upside I came home to Spring, the trees are budding so no stick trees, the Swans came home and it was 80 today. A better place than what I had left.

Welcome home and glad you had a safe trip. Didn't sound like it went all that smoothly though . . . :cautious: What a pain in the neck!!

Enjoyed your TR, and glad that you and your kids, and then just you, solo, could enjoy such a nice vacation. Really like how you got to do things you hadn't experienced before in some of the parks. It's always fun to explore something different!

Oh, sorry the trip is over. It was fascinating. Almost a month at Disney? That is a dream in itself. :)
