Lots of construction in this corner of Future World and going to get worse over better with the new restaurant build. At night you can see the light shining for construction from the American Pavilion all the way to Ellen's when they dim the lights for Illuminations, one is bright like a search and rescue beam.

This was a winner at Taste of the Flowers. Beef and Slaw. Both the sauces and the meat were done very well, better than the UK's version.

I'm glad this 'Fad' with socks is lasting. I bought my DS a pair of Green Aliens.

I rode this boat as much as I rode the Moving Park Bench this trip.

Can't fault Disney here, they're working and working hard on this thing.

This is the night I deemed I can't be riding Splash in the evening even with it being 88 that night.

People Watching I really think the change was missed and went over most guests head that there was a change. It works, it is perfectly fine.

Apparently, this repair job requisition got relegated to the Fix the Yeti Division. :p

Ha!

In September the fountain on the dock at Wilderness Lodge had an issue too but day 2 someone was fixing it as we were waiting for the boat. Next afternoon a different person was there perplexed and looking at his work order and they again testing the fountain that worked correctly. I let him out of his misery by telling him someone was here fixing it yesterday. I got a Thank you and a 'I just couldn't see the issue with it that the work order was saying.' :joyfull: Picked up his tools and stuff and left.

I get annoyed with the stroller controversy. I agree with the observation of most of the need of tank strollers. More on transportation and restaurants over the parks. I see most DADS that are charged with stroller detail uncomfortable with the impact with transportation. Oddly The Moms not so much. I wholeheartedly support the need for strollers. I rented them for mine. I always had an umbrella one for around POR when they were small. I so understand and my kids are taller than I am. As adults their stride is largely greater than mine. Oy think preschoolers tiny legs. Still I forgot find the tank strollers self indulgent. Not necessary.

As weirded out that I was at Epcot with an off Brand coach bus back to the resort I was beyond thankful for the under luggage area for strollers. Awesome. Disney of the future should consider

I’m not a fan of the Seas being IP’d by Nemo. I find it a disservice to what the Pavilion once was, part of dumbing down of Epcot

That said I really enjoy watching Turtle Talk. A bit like Laugh at the MK but kinder to the Audi which is small children. Nice humor but fun and inclusive for both the little ones and Adults just being spectators.

Between this small attraction and the training of the young dolphin before the guests eyes there is still a little glimmer that brings me back to this Pavillon that I hope isn’t ever lost.

Plus like I did show before those adult Stingrays are awesome.

I only rode non B once over a dozen times and then some. The distortions really do dramatically impact several scenes. But what I did notice is some of film does offer things that you don’t notice unless you’re in A or C. Payback? Due to the good fortune of a seat mate she was noting items I missed closer to the bottom where you have to look over your Own knees to see directly below. An attraction I can ride over and over. blessed. No 3 D glasses necessary.
That distortion caused quite a mixed review. DS most likely will skip it in the future, and he isn't happy about it. This was one of his favorites, but that 45 degree bend in the tower is terrible. Me, I like that it doesn't end at DL anymore. I would do it again, but try very hard to wait for the middle seating.

I know it is a hot button issue for some but me, I can't get past the twisted-warp'd buildings. If it had been Uni that messed up an attraction that badly the Disney Uber fans would have been all over it. But when I'm in any row of B I love the new Soar'n.

I promised weeks ago a review of Pizza Ponte. I’ve stalled cause I still fail to find anything kind about the venue. Wait. It was very clean. Maybe because nobody was in it?

In fairness between the indoor and outdoor seating areas there were two other sets of couples in there with me at 130pm on a Saturday afternoon.

As you enter you can view a wide assortment of pizzas and the pizza pie of the day. Today cheese slice. While many of the once yummy looking squares might have been good upon baking they had the obvious dried out look of being under heat lamps for hours. Few with even a square missing from their baking tins.

I was met by the door by a young gentleman that became my too close for comfort escort while viewing my choices. Ultimately I chose the pie as it looked fresher and a side of vegetable side salad with pasta.

There system is to ask you if you would like your pizza hot???? Yes please. So it goes in a rewarming oven. It came out soggy and like warm-ish.

The salad is another disappointment. The fresh cooked veggies were the highlight. They were awesome. The pasta was old and dry. The dressing had long since been soaked up by the pasta and lead me to believe the salad was not fresh today as they opened at 11am and it was 130pm.

While the price was fair the food was far from good or even passable.

Note also the poor choice of tables to stools. I am a small woman short and on the kinda thinner side. The stool to table clearance is tops 3-4 inches. What adult has 3” thighs??? It forces an adult to completely back away from the table and lean ackwardly over the table. The tables are perfect for a preschool.

So the highlights are

Good veggies in the pasta salad
Clean
Air conditioning
And preschool friendly

Note Please. A good hint. Blaze Pizza had a line out the door. Fresh to order and cheaper.

Any form of liquor at Disney is expensive. As much as I enjoy some of the specialty adult beverages throughout WDW my go to drink of pleasure is wine. Since I resort hopped for my Month At Disney I went from a few values to Deluxe Resorts. When I'd check into a new resort this trip I'd purchase a bottle of wine from the food court or gift shop depending on where it was sold in that particular resort. It was quickly noted that the bottle of wine cost greatly varied.

To my surprise a bottle of wine, nothing special in any resort was cheaper in a Deluxe Resort than a moderate. The Highest I paid was $23 at Pop and a single prepacked glass of wine at the resort was $7.50 and it was a pretty rock bottom glass of
Chardonnay. :cyclops: Quickly learned to purchase the wine from a moderate or better a deluxe resort before my next resort hop.:cautious:

The World Showcase was the worst and I did most of my Adult Beverage drinking other than wine cause wine was beyond ridiculous. It ranged from kiosks Italy $13 to France $7.50 in a tiny tiny plastic cup. It was a 3 ounce pour. The standard pour of wine is 5 ounces and most bartenders will go 5 2/3 to 6 oz so a 3 oz pour at $13 or even $7.50 is crazy. I didn't think to take a photo so I borrowed one from the world wide web. This is the size of wine glasses when you buy a flight of 3 or 4 to taste different wines. Epcot has gone to selling flight sized glasses as a standard pour. Me I favor wine because it doesn't land me loopie. Still a 3 ounce pour? Would beer drinkers accept a half sized bottle of beer? I know beer is sold in half sized portions during the summer months for keeping them cooler and such. But Would guest pay $13 for a half sized bottle of beer?

Glad I don't drink much--those resort prices are high. My focus is always on ice cream at WDW. Sometimes, I think I have the taste buds more of a 5-year-old, than an adult! :joyfull: (Then again, I figure I'm in my second childhood anyway, so I suppose that makes sense.) :p

Tom Sawyer Island

After a discussion of the Island I made a point of visiting the island. The only wait was for the raft to return to load us and the same going back. Maybe a dozen people. A family was exploring the Fort and seemed to be enjoying it. Sprinkled around the island were some people sitting in the shade relaxing at the scattered picnic tables. @MySmallWorldof4 this might also be a place for your gang to have a lunch. The island was only open for 6 hours when I was there from 10am until 4pm.

I still wish that one theater could be for California. I really miss the smells in that one.
