The risotto looks nasty. And that looks like the kind of meatloaf that makes people think they don't like it.

It made me want to make 'my' meatloaf when I go home. I make Mom's Meatloaf, the original recipe from Prime Time, not their current one. Yummy. And that was lunch I can't imagine what Dinner would have been like. :depressed:

Soooo . . . what happened?

When you go through Western Way (Coronado) if you go the opposite way there is absolutely nothing out there. Cows, empty fields you can go for miles without finding a home or anything. On Uber you can track your driver as he picks you up. He came to get me correctly yet started driving off into the sunset with me. I immediately texted my Kid with driver info and said excuse me nobody has ever gone this way...he kept driving a few more blocks but made a U turn and went back correctly. Uber has an app, he wasn't following it.

Wow! By the way, how was it at night? I would think it would be an entirely different experience from daytime--curious about your experience. :)

Given the choice I'd go by day. The animals are difficult to see, not all the animals are out like the giraffes are already back off stage and they are not doing the night vision glasses thing any longer. I was underwhelmed.

Night safari was a one and done for us. It was nice to see the dogs and lions awake but there weren't many other animals moving. Thank goodness we had a funny driver.

That's exactly what I figured. Night is night, and unless they had lights on all over the place, I had wondered how the heck you could see many animals in the dark. A lot of animals like to hide to begin with; but at least in daytime, sometimes you're lucky enough to spot one (like the cheetahs for example).

I did the night safari on my Christmas trip. I felt so bad for the driver. There was a guy there with his family that was something else. Yelling at animals to wake up, standing, spitting over the side. And DS and I were lucky enough to sit right behind him. He was the entire show. The CM spent most of the time trying to wrangle him.

One of the events of yesterday was my second tour of the day. Knew something was wrong as we shoved off to Discover The Land.

The boat was going real real slow from the beginning and their were boats only a few feet apart so you were hearing 3 sets of prerecording from each set of boats then it haunted. Then bumper boats. Then nothing. Then after a while someone was talking to us but we couldn’t hear due to the waterfall noise. 2 people darted bye and said be with you shortly. They were not. Then boat went backwards at a snail 🐌 pace. Then stopped again. A long time later they had us step off and walk the path to the tunnel entry point at the beginning of the ride. We were given a tier 2 anytime FP. It was now 8 missed my ADR. Ugh. But it was a nice day over all

Yikes I hope you didn't get charged for the no show seeing it wasn't your fault.

I remember when the started this there was low level orangeish lighting and night goggles. This was just a good place to rest my feet whe waiting for Rivers to begin
