Well that's it...all over! Can you believe it? The closing ceremony was spectacular, but I won't go into too much detail incase it hasn't been on US tv yet.

What were your impressions? Overall, I think they were excellent. I think that Greece did themselves proud, there was a lot of doubt beforehand that they could pull it off in time, but they did, and very well at that.

Here's the final medals table top 10:

Rank Country Gold Silver Bronze Total
1 United States 35 39 29 103
2 China 32 17 14 63
3 Russia 27 27 38 92
4 Australia 17 16 16 49
5 Japan 16 9 12 37
6 Germany 14 16 18 48
7 France 11 9 13 33
8 Italy 10 11 11 32
9 South Korea 9 12 9 30
10 Great Britain 9 9 12 30

Well done USA, although I think team GB did really well, considering we're only a small country compared to most of the top 10 :D :sohappy: .

Don't spoil it for us, they haven't televised the closing ceremonies yet, the olympics are still going on right now!

The highlight of the olympics was by far the U.S. Women's Beach Volleyball team's victory celebration...

Gosh, that was BEYOND entertainment;)

I'm going to make this predictions 4 years early: The China cermonies won't be like Greece. It was fantasic. China, however, was more traditional than the Greeks. China wont compared to this.

2006 in Turino Italy in next in Febraury
