Lauriebar forgive me on this, but this is the first time I've noticed you are from Nashville. :D
Yes, do you mind if we stop at your place for breakfast on our way down to WDW in Oct.? Say around 4:00 a.m.?:)

Oops... :D

Actually we'll be in Helen, Ga. You are welcome to stop by the house for some grits if you'd like.
Is that right over the line? We have been to Chickamagua before, my husband is a civil war nut!!

Not quite. Chickamauga is right over the line (10 minutes from my home). Helen is a few miles south of the NC border in the mountains. It is a German village type of place. They will be having Octoberfest. :slurp:

I've actually talked to Barnum a couple of times. He took some really bad pictures of me that he wants to post on the forums........ :dazzle:

I miss him too. I've always been especially fond of our British friends; we seem to understand each other.

(Maybe it's because I grew up eating fish and chips, with vinegar on the chips. )

Hey disneymoc, it's too bad we're not going to Fairfield Glade again this year; we usually stop over in Chattanooga. Love the Aquarium, and we found a "hole in wall" Thai restaurant nearby that was pretty decent.

Maybe you Brits would like a sort of Bawstin accent?

BTW, any of you Family Guy fans...Peter etal pronounce Pawtucket incorrectly. Close, and pretty good for a non-natives, but still not quite right. :animwink:

I'm baffled, why is it that british accents are so cool?? Or is it only posh british accents? I am a Sussex girl born and bred but I can do a good cockney accent, are they cool too? Cor blimey guv'nor!!

They're all intriguing  and we do our best to imitate, though it never sounds right.

The only exception I've known is my cousin April, who, one time, having been stopped for directions by a British couple, answered back in their own accent. They exclaimed how refreshing it was to find someone from home, and apologized for stopping her since she likely didn't know the area any better than they did. :king: Now THAT is a good imitation. She assured them she knew the area quite well, directed them on their way, and had a good laugh (and a pat on the back).

I have to agree with those who say even the swearing sounds better in English-English!
