Trip Report The No Rain, Red Card, Vanna White, July JOURNEY! *COMPLETED*

So my most recent trip report was 44 years in the making ~ this one has taken only a month :). And for any of you keeping score, this is my 5th trip report. This year. I have been to WDW five times in 2016 and have plans to return in September. And October. And December. (Please don't hate me.)

Those of you who are tired of reading about my Disney escapades can exit now, no hard feelings. Those of you who have read any of my other reports know what you're in for and I hope I can keep your interest. I really appreciate your kind comments.

To that end I will start by playing tag ~ @TrolleyFollower91 @Doc Disney @TheMouseFan @MinnieM123 @Tiggerish @BWK05 @Gabe1 @samantha788 @coachwnh @Figment Forever @figmentfan423 @epcotisbest @Zipitidoda @MerMom1981 @LisaBelle @Matty30 @Courtney6682 @bee @lostpro9het @cgersic @sheriffwoody @blgauger @meganwdw @fractal @MississippiBelle @jrogue @ScarletBegonias @LadyBelle @disneypearl @Tony the Tigger @tcool123 @prfctlyximprct @Longers @gwhb75 @Beckett @Ciara @ajrwdwgirl @FlaggNL @mishel635 @myhappyplace

"Now give me a little intro there, Gomer" (I clearly have seen the Country Bear Jamboree way too many times...)

Cast: Tuvalu and Em, a girls' summer getaway!
Date: July 23-27

Did all our wishes come true? You'll have to wait and see.

All right, Kona and Mo (and any interested humans) ~ back to the report! :cat:

After our meeting with Anna and Elsa we went to use our fastpasses for their attraction. Here's another red card for ya, @Gabe1! (Is anyone keeping count?)

Today our FP wait was around 10 minutes. Not exactly a walk-on, but better than our first FP wait.

Em decided she would take pictures on this ride, as she did not during our first experience. Once again I must brag on her photog skills as these shots are quite good. (What? You other moms have never boasted about your child's talent?)

However, I do not want to spoil the ride for anyone waiting to see it in person. So if you don't want to view the terrific photos, scroll down fast. (I did try to hide them behind a spoiler but was unsuccessful...I need a tutorial in "Spoilers for Dummies.")

We left the cool clime of Scandinavia and began the HOT walk around World Showcase to our lunch destination. Now this restaurant has not been getting a lot of love lately on these boards, and truthfully we have had a couple of "meh" dining experiences here on recent vacations.

I'm talking about Via Napoli.

But when the pizza is done right, it is so so good! :hungry: And memories of those wonderful pies come flooding back each time we discuss ADRs for our next trip. Today's visit was Em's request.

We were seated immediately by a lovely window table.

Our water was poured by a fine-looking gent. We drank a lot of fluids so he would keep coming back and refill our empty glasses. ;)

Our server was not quite as fine-looking and was lacking the warm smile of the waterboy. He seemed a little put out by our request for bread.

Remember, our only "fuel" so far had been an Entenmann's donut. Five hours ago. We needed that bread!!

And we still had plenty of room for this little beauty:

WANT. ONE. NOW!!!!

Roasted red peppers are my favorite pizza topping. Placed on top of this fresh mozzarella and fresh charred dough and I was in pizza heaven! Em has developed a fondness for roasted red peppers too and had no trouble finishing her half of the pie.

Two thumbs up for this Via Napoli visit!!

As always, I am loving your trip report. You always seem to have the best reports. I guess it's because you have a lot of practice!! :)

I'm with you with the "surprise" photo on Frozen Ever After. I had no idea that there was going to be a photo taken. Here is our family shot. I'm the guy in the front row who looks totally disinterested. (Actually, contrary to what it looks like, I enjoyed the ride very much.)

Goadie, this is for you.......:cat:

Em and I had one last FP to use so we walked off our yummy lunch around the lagoon. Did I mention it was HOT? Yes, I realize it was a July afternoon in central Florida and it is supposed to be hot. But my pal @Zipitidoda can vouch for me ~ it was hotter than blazes!

We had to go from here.....

The a/c in that big golf ball never felt so good!

We have had terrible luck with the interactive screens lately. When we got into our car and saw this.....

image.jpeg

....we knew today's ride wasn't going to be any better! :devilish:

But we do enjoy the animatronics.

You don't realize just how long the "pick your future" part of the attraction is when your screen doesn't work at all. It's a painfully boring backwards descent in the dark. We were glad when it was over!

We had a difficult time making our way down the exit ramp as a wheelchair party was making its way up the ramp. Care to guess how many guests were part of one wheelchair party?

5? Higher.
10? Not even close.
15? Nope.
20? Still higher.
25? You're getting warmer.

I counted 26 guests!! Some might argue that is taking advantage of the disability system. And I might have to agree with them.
