The New X-Box

Titanfall... Drool! It looks like lost planet in the hands of developers who design for the western market and wow did they knock it out of the park. The price... I'm not sold on it but there is still a chance they will do some sort of subsidy like they tried last year for the 360. If there was DVR functionality built in it would be a no brainer but I'm about 75% yes on launch day.

Titanfall looks awesome.

$500 is about what I was expecting. Considering that I paid more than that for my 360 Elite and Kinect and have never regretted it, I'll pre-order ASAP. With the new shared gold account this will put a 360 with Kinect in my daughters bedroom with fully functioning netflix, HBO go, etc and a blu-ray in my bedroom.

Lol.. I'm awful I just pre ordered through Microsoft. The transaction took a couple tries so they may be in higher demand than the game media is letting on.

I don't doubt that. I wish there was a way to find out which commenters out there on Gizmodo, Kotaku, etc that have been pooh-poohing XB1 since the announcement already have pre-orders. You know at least 70% of the high and mighty video game hipsters were just waiting on MS.com with their visa cards out.

I agree, the hate after the debut last month was silly. They acted as if the thing wouldn't play games.. I'm watching the ea presser now and I'm just dying to play titan fall.

I got to watch it live (dual monitors at work is just awesome) and it was one of the most impressive launch games for the XB1. Granted, I am a little jaded as I am not into driving or 3rd person format games. Still, Forza, Ryse and Dead rising 3 look incredible and I can not wait to see more than a teaser for Halo.

I watched the microsoft live too but the EA one is on now, they just teased Starr wars battlefront. Giddy!

Need for speed can go away though.

Dead rising is always fun but I hate hate hate the time restrictions on it. If it were just a completely sandbox game just like gta I think I would love it.

I got mine preordered at Gamestop.
I didn't get to see any of the E3 stuff, since i was at a work training most of the afternoon. I called GS as i left just in case, and they said they were taking orders for guaranteed first day shipping. They said they only could take ten guaranteed orders. So, that's where i went right after leaving my work thing. I also preordered Call of Duty and Forza. GS didn't have all the games mentioned available at the moment for preorder, like they didn't have Dead Rising listed. They had a lot of sports titles available like Madden, NBA, FIFA.

Just looked at IGN a bit, and they believe the release date for the system will be released November 1-5.
The guy who wrote the article based that opinion on the fact that COD Ghosts releases on November 5.
He said it wouldn't make marketing sense to release the current and next gen versions on separate dates, or to have the next gen version out before the console.

Makes sense to me.

Edit:Looking at the GS website, it has three system bundles listed. One with the new Kinect Sports, one with Dead Rising, one with Ryse. I'd want the Dead Rising one, so I called my local store but they didn't have that info on their end yet.

division from ubisoft looks incredible that will be cross platform. The Microsoft exclusives seem to be much more enticing to me. There really wasn't anything Sony exclusive that made me want to go out and buy it. I know there's probably a ton of kingdom hearts fans on here but Japanese games, especially turn based RPGs really don't appeal to me.

Apparently the pre ordered Xbox one controllers will be day one exclusive.

I have never pre-orderd a console before. Are there better places than others? I know the easy route is just to order from MS or Amazon, but I have nightmares of shipping issues and I kind of like the launch party atmosphere. Sadly, the closest MS store is 2.5 hours away from me in Orlando so it looks like Best Buy and GameStop are my local options.

Well ms.com sells it for free shipping and launch day arrival. Game stop is gonna be mobbed so I opted for home delivery. I'm not sure I paid tax on it either... That's a big plus.

The only launch console I ever got was the game cube. I never pre ordered one though. I imagine that having it delivered may result in a possible early delivery.

I went ahead and ordered straight from MS. I did get stuck paying tax because they have brick and mortar stores in Florida.

Now if you will excuse me, I will be at my front door waiting. :D

It looks interesting but the quick time events have me holding off on giving it too much attention.
I read a preview that said the quick time events are just to trigger special finishing strikes.
The way the preview worded it, the combat is sorta Arkham style, and the QTE are for finishing blows. You don't have to land them, but hitting them gets you more XP.
