True, but I would still love to be this guy.

Word is out that there will be a day on software update and people are predictably loosing their minds over it.
Looks as though it was available to him and it was 500mb. Both consoles are going to have updates so its no big deal. I think fanboys are just making it look worse than it is.

Seems as though this guys Xbox got banned already.. I think his story may not be legit or ms banned it because of non disclosure agreements they have with people that have test units.

I noticed that on Kotaku. MS also had his video pulled from YouTube.

EDIT: looks like Target shipped out about 150 of them.

Salty much?

P.S, Have fun playing on the Xbox 720p!
;)

You're right I imagine titan fall will be a smashing success on ps4. ;) Sony and thier fans need to get that this is not a horsepower contest. The initial sales of the Wii are evidence of that. The difference is that microsoft has a huge lineup coming and their network supporting it has a several year head start over PSN+.

*discloser* I am not hear to bash.*End disclaimer* Huge line up argues with big AAA and indie game difference and sadly ps4 had 2 big games delayed to developers not being happy with the product yet. I went with a ps4 because I have always preferred the playstation exclusive to the xbox exclusives ( I have a ps2, ps3, xbox, xbox 360,wii,and a gaming pc).. I think what sold the Wii was the concept and great games, the combination of the two was Amazing and its sad that America didn't get a lot of the Japanese exclusives. I tend to be an Rpg and story driven gamer and Playstation filled that void, Kingdom hearts, Final Fantasy, Uncharted, Infamous, also ps kids game like little big planet tend to be epic. With that being said> I will be the first person in line with the either the first price drop of the Xbox One or when my girl friend decides to buy one. I think its a great system and I am kinda jealous of you guy getting yours soon, though I will be in my one gaming bliss!Sorry looking back this is not well driven. I am just trying to say that not all Sony fans are crazy. Its crazy to get behind only one console.. they will miss out on so many games. I would have missed out on Fable with out my xbox and pc, Forza. I think I have made my point.

I'd say both have good exclusives, though I believe your downplaying the importance of which console will have the best quality multiplat but no matter, I'm not really looking to get into the console war here.

I think its a bit early to say who will have the better quality multi-platform games. As far as I am concerned, the difference between the 2 will be minimal once they both hit stride.

I really dont think sony is going to be prepared for their new customers. I think a lot of users are convinced they don't need PSN+ because of how everyone is ripping on the xbl gold being required. I really think theyre going to have a rough few months in regards to the online service.

In my eyes the only thing better with Sony is the PR game they played. They played the smart hand by letting Microsoft stay out in front on all the issues and just lay back and quietly announce anything negative. Just like now, 4 days to launch and oh by the way
the company may "monitor and record" any or all PlayStation Network activity, including voice and text message data.
Didn't Microsoft take a beating from the privacy police for this same thing? Sure is convenient to announce it a few days before so it ends up going mostly to the way side.

Both systems have a lot of potential. The advantage that the X-box One has (potentially) is that is has a better chance of hitting all major demographics and not just one. Like it or not, (and I don't) the casual/entertainment side of video games is probably here to stay and Microsoft looks to have the advantage over Sony and the big N.

I agree 100% ms did an awful job at explaining their sharing and DRM policies. Sony did a fantastic job pointing out that they're not ms and taking pot shots wherever they could. I cannot believe how badly Microsoft dropped the ball when it came to that.

Actually Microsoft has a patent for using the kinect when users are a watching a movie the validate that the appropriate number of people are watching a movie. (Larger groups have to get rights to show some movies, though I am not sure what the number is).

Though I would like to propose the question to big X-box followers, (being a Playstation and Mac user through out most of my time), how do you think X-box will fair if the New CEO spins off the company. One of the possible CEO's has said that he would consider breaking off X-box into a separate company. One of the great things about the x-box is the Microsoft server system (I won't lie about that), but a drift between the two like that could effect it. Any ideas? (I am not trying to start a flame war, I wanna get a xbox side take on this possibly happening)

While you are correct that they have a patent, it means absolutely nothing since its not going to be used. Sony also has patents for blocking used games but it doesn't matter since they are not using it. Companies are patenting things all the time, most of them never see the light of day. If MS ever decides that they will use said software, you can be sure Sony will be first in line to use it as well since they have a larger stake in the movie industry. One of my biggest issues with this system war is how Playstation fans seem to paint Sony as some saint in the industry. Does anyone really think that if MS went with the no used games, always online.... Sony wouldn't be doing the same thing? Of course they would.

If they spun it off, I still think they would have a huge stake in it. It could work out for the better since MS could then focus on software for the box and the new company could focus on the games/hardware side. If the Xbox one is as successful as the 360 was I really don't see them spinning it off anyway. I would love to see SEGA partner with MS if they did decide to sell of the brand. That would make the classic SEGA fanboy in me go crazy.
