I would love an Aquatopia in the old Motor Boat area! Though I'm not sure if it would work within the space that exists (or if Disney would bother to make the area the way it used to be).

Disneyland leg of summer trip:
* booked with a travel agent
* cancelled via a quick email
* received refund within 24 hours
LegoLand leg of summer trip:
* booked through LegoLand website
* cancelled via phone after sitting on hold for 40 minutes (CANNOT cancel or change reservations via email. They won't even respond to tell you that.)
* was told it will take 30 days to receive my refund
Conclusions:
* Always buy the trip modification/flexible vacation option, because no one expects theSpanish InquisitionCOVID pandemic!
* Always book through a travel agent
At least I'm going to get my money back. Eventually.
She's only 8, and timid with rides, so I think we're ok for a bit. I hope! However, I think we might have missed the boat with The Enchanted Forest in Salem. For many years we've driven by on the way to and from the in-laws' place and said, "we'll go next year". And now there's a pandemic. I'm thinking by the time they can open up she isn't going to care about that. Oh well.I hope your daughter won't grow out of Legoland before you get to go back. We finally went last summer, my son is a big Lego fan. He was 11 at the time, and while we had fun, he was a bit old and recognized that it didn't hold a candle to Disneyland.
Nooooo, you have to go there! It’s terribly wonderful! You won’t regret it.She's only 8, and timid with rides, so I think we're ok for a bit. I hope! Nature has been reclaimed and our air has been restored! It’s kind of ironic that towards the end the two smoking areas were in the nature areas of Big Thunder Trail and the area you mention in Grizzly Peak. All smoking should have been confined to the Hollywood backlot.
Glad I can go walk by those waterfalls without the smoke now.
WDW Pro said:Hanging man is gone from everything I'm hearing. Bring replaced with a phantom. Also looking to add non caucasian ghosts to the ride.
I know WDW Pro isn't the most reliable source, but I thought it might make an interesting discussion over here.
I'm really interested on how you could tell the race of a ghost since they're all either blue or green.
Loved the tires too. First time I rode it with my family, we literally could not get it going and ended up spinning around a sea of beach balls; we found it hilarious. Obviously got better with maneuvering it over time, but the fun did go a bit as soon as the beach balls left.I wish it was back, I liked it more than its replacement. It would bottom out if you leaned too much, I think that’s where the learning curve stemmed from for day playing guests. You could tell who had an AP

Sometimes I really allow myself to get worked up over the state of the world, and to some extent I think that's right. This is a fallen world, after all, lost in sin, and that should make us unhappy. Still, I allow it to consume me to an unhealthy degree sometimes where my heart becomes full of anger and hatred for my fellow man who, though sinning, even possibly against me, was made in God's Image, too, and I ought to love him even when there's conflict.
A hymn that I was introduced to not too long ago and has quickly become a favorite of mine is "This is My Father's World," written in 1901 by Maltbie Babcock. In it, Babcock describes God's presence in all of creation, which is something I believe very strongly in for it is impossible for me to see the beauty of this world and not see God's glory in it. In the last verse, it sings,
"That though the wrong seems oft so strong,
God is the ruler yet.
This is my Father's world:
why should my heart be sad?
The Lord is King; let the heavens ring!"
It's such a beautiful reminder that even with all of the sin and corruption of our world, God is King and He will make everything right in the end and we oughtn't allow ourselves to worry.
I'm sure this post will be met with some resistance, but I ask that it's not and that the mods will allow it to remain up. I really just wanted to have a moment of self reflection and share with y'all some of my thoughts. Hopefully they can also help you as we deal with very strange and troubling times.
Everytime Cinemagic on SirusXM plays the American President main title, it makes me miss Soarin over California. I hope they don't switch back to Soarin around the World when the park reopens. I can just see those city names fly by.
Congratulations!Small life update; Today I finished residency. “Grade 27”.
I think that’s enough.
