"Half-baked," then. Neutered. Watered down. A poor imitation. A shadow of its former self. Etc.
Tarzan offers precious little beyond those views.
Swiss is more transformative, exploratory, harmonious within its environments. It is a genuine pleasure to visit. Even in the horrorshow that is the modern Magic Kingdom experience, it is a place of genuine calm, relaxation, discovery, and tranquility.
Tarzan is, for me, something done every few visits, solely for the view or to get away from the masses for a few minutes. There is nothing of substance related to the attraction's actual content other than the views, and those are left over from the Swiss days.
Tarzan suffers from Subs syndrome; technically an iconic attraction is still around in some form, but without its soul, just a bare husk of what had once been. I guess on some level it's nice that it's around, but are we really better off with the vastly compromised remains of what came before? Sometimes I wonder.
