Glen Kean directed an animated short in 2017 called "Dear Basketball" which was written and narrated by Kobe Bryant. I'm seriously kicking myself by not seeing this short before the news. I was planning on seeing this short sometime last week.

Heard about it shortly after 2p our time.
I have never been an NBA fan, and have learned 100+ times more than I ever knew about him in the last coupla’ hours. And, dear Lord, the loss of his daughter too.
They are now saying there were 9 on board.
So very sad.
Prayers to all surviving family members, friends, and fans.

I will miss him, he was my idol growing up, such a huge part of my life. I will never forget seeing him at Disneyland after he won the 2009 NBA Championship, he will be missed, may he and his daughter find peace.
