Pirates also tends to be down a good bit at WDW. I wonder if it's an issue with the ride system. And of course Rise is down a good bit at WDW because, well...
The WDW counterparts for the others (Dinosaur currently instead of Indy) aren't down nearly as often as the DL versions. I don't understand it. But you could be right that it could be an issue at that side of the park.

The RRCTS change is dumb, but if the ride is ruined for you now because one character has a wardrobe change, that says more about you than it does about the ride.

I like his movies, but what an attitude. As if there's no use for female characters but for something to look at, and Jessica couldn't possibly evolve to be more than just the femme fatale.
And wouldn't the bigger issue be that Bob Hoskins died ten years ago and we have no Eddie Valient? Sheesh.

Definitely shouldn’t ruin the ride for anyone. But it seems like a change my grandma would’ve made if she were put in charge of Disneyland.

Did you watch Roger Rabbit? That doesn't even describe her character at all.
Also some women are built differently than others and it's very victorian of someone to say they need to cover up.

We did, but his comments say that he doesn't remember making it.
Yes, women have different body shapes. I'm not saying change her body shape* at all. I'm saying change the costume so that she's still got her body type but is covered up and make her kind of a bad *ss in the second one. This isn't a Victorian attitude either; real actresses have been asking "yeah, can this costume cover things better? Please?"
*Not that Jessica Rabbit is representative of a real woman. She'd be a freak of nature with those proportions, and she'd also be having major back problems.

That's not what her character is. She is 30's night club jazz singer along the lines Billie Williams. Granted she is the cartoon version so things are exaggerated just like they were in cartoons of the time.

It's a personal preference how someone wants to dress and no one would question a less curvy woman for being in a slim fitting dress, but if a curvy woman does it it's bad?
I'd hope most actresses can choose what wardrobe they are comfortable with.
I just find the messaging from the director mixed cause her character in the film is actually a multidimensional character and isn't a fem fetale.
I'm not even a Roger Rabbit fan by any means even though I appreciate the film making that went into it.
That's very true, it's completely over the top ridiculous.

Really like how they decorate Toontown for Christmas. It gives me DCA mid century Christmas vibes which I prefer to the more traditional Christmas feel at DL/ Main Street. Overall Toontown 2.0 feels much livelier and is very pleasant at night. The El Capitoon theatre and its marquee lights go a long way.
A lot of the Christmas lights were up across the park last night and I didn’t mind it all. Certainly beats pumpkins and snow in 100 degrees in August.

My 2 cents: I love the film Who Framed Roger Rabbit. I love Cartoon Spin.
The wardrobe change doesn’t bother me. Jessica Rabbit is smart, brave and aware. The change is totally in character: After her experience with Eddie Valiant, watching him save countless toon lives, it is very believable that she’d try becoming a private detective herself.
Also, the ride is in Toontown, surrounded by play structures for small fry. The land’s dark ride doesn’t need a a woman being shoved into a car trunk.
Also, Runaway Railway is right next door. Minnie’s got the whole “shut living characters into a car trunk” gig covered.
Seriously, what’s with Imagineering and car trunks?

So I saw on Reddit that today was pretty crowded, given that it seems that Mondays are the new busy day of the week.
Now I'm second guessing whether I should re-arrange my trip to go on Tuesday and Wednesday (19th & 20th) instead of Monday and Tuesday (18th & 19th).
I checked and I could shift my hotel nights without penalty....in fact, those nights are a bit cheaper. The days are open on the reservation calendar as well. I did book a couple of dining reservations, but those aren't critical.
Pros:
Possibly lighter days and cheaper hotel nights.
Cons:
I'd be driving from NorCal into Anaheim on a Monday instead of a Sunday. Also Monday is a Tier-2 day and Tuesday & Wednesday are Tier-1, so I'd be losing a bit of money shifting the Tier-2 to a Tier-1 day.
Any thoughts from the peanut gallery?

I think now that we're basically in the sprint through the holidays, it doesn't make much difference. I'd say this past year Tuesdays felt less busy than Mondays but not dramatically so.

I agree with Waltography that it makes less of a difference during the holidays but Mondays will be busier. Mostly I think due to Imagine and Enchant MK blackouts. A Monday is pretty much the only way an Imagine pass can stay at a hotel in the area and only take one day off school/ work. Enchants have access to the park on Sundays but Sunday/ Monday is popular for better hotel rates. Of course then you have any pass or ticket type that may just want to do an extended weekend. With all of that said, considering the Cons you listed and that you are a seasoned park goer I’d say stick with the current plans.
Was it just about her being in the trunk though? Which btw I’ve never heard one solitary complaint about in its 30 year existence. If it was just about her being in the trunk they could have taken her out of the trunk and left her in her dress. But of course they have to over “correct” everything.
I understand that you can rationalize why Jessica Rabbits new look isn’t out of character but the intention behind why they made that change doesn’t bother you? Particularly when taking all other recent changes in consideration?
