I'm happy that Disneyland is finally adding water bottle fillers.

HKDL and SDL had them at every restroom back in 2019; USH had a much larger spread of them than DL last year; glad that Disneyland's catching up.

I kind of like it. Not thrilled with the big puddle of water underneath it though.

It's still over three hours away from the Friday Sundowner Cocktail Hour at my house, so I had to stare at the photo for a minute to get it, because without a cocktail in hand my mind is pure as the driven snow. 😇

Or, I'm just dense sometimes.

But it finally clicked. I think I'm more annoyed at the puddle of water that obviously sits there all day.
Luckily the puddle can be cleaned up (or will dry up), the posters minds here however is another matter....

I've never heard that, but I've pretty much just gotten Pat Benatar on every elevator, so just assumed I was unlucky.

I’ve gotten either Pat Benatar or Parliament on every ride, aside from the one time I got Jackson 5. I’ve seen people request certain elevators, so I started to wonder if there’s a correlation.

Seems like Parliament is the tamest drop profile (of these three) and Jackson 5 the most thrilling. I’d love to avoid getting Parliament ever again ha.

I hadn’t heard of this movie until I read your post last night. It looks good and has great reviews. I’m taking my son to see it today in 4DX 3D. First time doing 4DX. Well, first time not at a theme park I guess.
We will go see it today. I've read all the books to the kids over the years.
Let me know what y'all think! I was surprised by how moved I was given I came in with zero knowledge; also helps that it's aesthetically gorgeous, and it feels a bit like a swan song for DWA given it's the last movie to be fully animated in-house.

Don't worry gang, Ms. Diaz is going to tell her side of the story and explain it all on Tik Tok. 🤣

Call me a terrible human being, but 80% of the time somebody describes something as their "worst nightmare", part of me takes is as a challenge to come up with a scenario that would make the original situation pale in comparison. It's usually not hard.

Also, I'll just let this speak for itself:

“Social media is full of lies and hate,” Diaz posted on TikTok.

It was Incredible! Wow what an experience. The pairing of that beautiful movie and my first time doing 4DX 3D was special. The score was very moving. Not sure if every movie hits like this in 4DX but it was amazing. At first I thought it was a little distracting but once I settled in I really appreciated the wind effects as well as the slight swaying sensation that you would feel during flight or underwater swimming scenes. I was surprised at the degree of motion and how intense some of the rocking was for some of the action scenes. Very fun. I was expecting something more along the lines of Kung Fu Panda at USH but it was much more than that. Lots of water, scent, lighting effects etc. The 3D was nice and bright too unlike most movies where I feel it’s too dark.

Back to the movie - stunning animation, a lot of heart, beautiful score. 10/10. I would I see it again. I want My wife to experience it at the theatre in 4DX like my son and I did.

That sounds fun! I haven’t done 4DX before, but might use that as an excuse to see the movie again.

I liked it overall and saw it in DBox, which has the seat movement but not the other stuff as 4DX. However I’m still not a fan of the watercolor style animation used these days.

I agree. I liked the movie too. Very moving and lots of heart. It follows the book fairly well

Not sure if its grown on me or that it just worked really well in this movie.
The latter for me; this movie is kind of what I'd hoped Wish would look like. It all felt very lush and attuned to nature, which I think would've been less eye-catching if they tried to be photorealistic.

Do you recommend the series? Figured it'd be a fast read as a middle grade series, and I also liked the art style of the illustrations I saw from the books.

Came back from a trip this morning and a couple items of note:
  • Pretty much every notable effect on Indy was in working state, including the fog over the lava pit and the backwards boulder scene.
  • The smoke effects on Big Thunder were working! Surely they can refill the haze/fog cannons more regularly than once per fiscal year? Not sure why this effect has been so finicky.
  • The Buzz animatronic in the BLAB queue was behind curtains.
  • I got Galactic Hero for the first time ever! Just my luck that the photo area at the end of the ride was AWOL, I don't know what my true score was beyond 999999. Oh well.
  • The taro bread pudding at Aunt Cass Cafe was delicious! Warm, rich, sweet but not cloying. A scoop of ice cream on top instead of whipped cream would make it perfect.

If SpaceX had an exhibit in any one of Tomorrowland's empty buildings...

They could set up giant TV screens in Tomorrowland and show the rescue mission that SpaceX launched this week to the ISS after NASA's Boeing-built spacecraft crapped out and stranded the two astronauts up there.
