I got a survey from the parks the other day asking what lands I visited and performance corridor was on there. It's amazing this is a public name for a land.
It's because they are idiots.

How do the cookies compare to the Cookie Num Num?I can’t believe the new chocolate chip cookies from Harbour Galley actually matched the hype. Simple, soft, warm and chewy. I cant think of a store bought chocolate chip cookie that I like better off the top of my head. That includes Mrs Fields or any of the new fancy cookie shops. Mobile ordered a bakers dozen and they were ready for immediate pick up. My wife and I rarely buy sweets at the park. They usually look better then they taste and are too sweet but I have a feeling I’ll be buying these often.
Fried Fish sandwich at Hungry Bear was pretty good too. Has a nice lemony coleslaw on it with just a little kick.
Got my son on Mission Breakout for the first time. He’s been tall enough for about 4 years but we thought it would have terrified him so we held off. If it was still TOT I probably would have put him on it a couple years ago. I’ve done most of his first rides with him so it was my wife’s turn. I thought for sure he wouldn’t want to do the child switch with me but he ended up loving it! He rode it again with me and I bought him a little dancing baby groot as a memento. Really miss TOT though. It actually had build up, killer theme, was more 3D and actually felt like a Disney ride.

Glad your son enjoyed MB!
Wouldn't it be great if Grizzly River Run had more theming to Ranger Woodlore and Humphrey the bear?
I can imagine animation from this special playing in the queue, with any mention of Brownstone National Park replaced and reanimated to Grizzly Peak National Park.
It would be great if Disney repurposed some Splash Mountain critter animatronics that are rumored to all be ripped from Splash onto Grizzly River Run (possums, turtles, racoons, vultures, etc). Maybe they could somehow re-skin Brer Bear to be Humphrey the Bear to save money. Brer Fox to Donald Duck, etc. Just hoping the Splash figures get put to good use.
What made if unique was that you were suddenly dropped without expecting it. With MB you are flung up from the get go, so like you said, there's no build up.Really miss TOT though. It actually had build up, killer theme, was more 3D and actually felt like a Disney ride.
I was terrified of roller coasters until I was in Jr. High. My first coaster with a loop was The Demon at Great America. I pretty much closed my eyes the whole ride and remember thinking "where was the loops?" cause you don't really notice you are going upside down.....just feel the G's changing along the way. Thanks! Only one ride at DLR left to conquer is the Incredicoaster. I tried telling him MB is much scarier than Incredicoaster but he’s a bit apprehensive about the loop.

Indy looked and felt fantastic last Monday. Everything (new definition of everything) was working except the second of the new projections (the crumbling wall) that replaced the rat projections. It actually looked kind of neat with the effect not working. Something about the lighting with the scrim looked more believable without the cheesy crumbling wall projection. Maybe they turned it off. Anyway, I sat in the back row and it felt great. The vehicles movement have reminded me more of Indys earlier days since the last refurb. Might just be in my head though.

Because Paris had deep financial problems until relatively recently, and they had already shoved in a cheap Pinfari looping coaster with the Indy name slapped on it into their Adventureland before the DL attraction opened. It drives me nuts that they don't have the full preshow, and they still don't have a ton of the random dialogue throughout the ride. And the vehicle movement not being random anymore.
That said... it's still a top three ride in the park.
I'm surprised they never built one in Paris.

I don't think we knew it at the time, but the Indiana Jones Adventure was the last of the truly epic Disneyland E Tickets.
I know we're supposed to say that Star Wars: Rise Before Dawn is a great E Ticket, but it seems to just meet the standards set 25 years earlier by Indy. And of course there's Millennium Falcon: Target Run, but after going on that one a few times I am inclined to rate that a D Ticket by the standards of the 2020's, along with Mickey's Runaway Railway.
But Indiana Jones Adventure, circa 1995 after a decent refurb in 2024? That's the last of the true E Tickets.
Smugglers Run is a D ticket if you're the pilot. If not, it's a chore. Almost never ride with large groups because I have no interest in going on that ride and not being pilot. If I do go with large groups of family or friends that haven't been on the ride I do the right thing and let them be pilot. Now I just avoid the whole thing all together. Ive taken a lot of first timers and nobody has loved it. Mostly "meh" reactions.
This channel has many very detailed videos showcasing changes and missing audio.Man, I don't even remember the random dialogue at this point. There has to be one good YouTube documentary on Indy.
Yeah true, considering they are both Baxters babies.
Yeah id imagine its in most peoples Top 3. It's easier to say that now that Splash is gone. I'd say its Top 3 in terms of quality but its not in my Top 3 rides at Disneyland that I want to ride most often.
