Bingo! And anyone over the age of 16 who doesn't let a child be the pilot is either a genuine a-hole, or just ends up looking like one to their friends and family and complete strangers and random CM's for all eternity.

It's a specific social dance on that ride, where you have to let the kids be the pilots. Thus, the adults sit in the back and get thrown about while they think "I wonder what this ride is like if the pilot is actually good?" 🤔

They must have spent a fortune on that ride, and they didn't cheap out on it. Aesthetically the queue and pre-show is very impressive. But the end result as you exit the hallways is D Ticket Meh for almost everyone over the age of 16.

Lol so true. You gotta let the kids be the pilot. Although I may have tried to persuade my 5 year old nephew who I have already let be pilot twice that the gunner position is the best position. He disagreed. Smart kid. Lol. Anyway, group decided that they didn’t want to waste time on Target Run.

I've been on Millennium Falcon: Target Run at Disneyland least a half dozen times now. The first two or three were right after it opened and no one showed up, so I Uber'ed over to the park and walked right on. I'm pretty sure I did a TR about that in June of '19. Several times later that year I was on it with my own family and we'd do a Boys Vs. Girls thing, but...

Am I the only one who has very little understanding of what we're doing on that ride? I get it, we have to get some cargo thing that's on that space train and fight off the bad guys. But there's that entire pre-show and all the dialogue and audio inside the cockpit pod that just seems to be "Blah Blah Blah Recruits, you must Blah Blah precious cargo Blah Blah coaxial cables Blah Blah Blah the empire and galaxy Blah Blah!

I'm not a Spacex rocket scientist, but I'm not stupid. I've seen nearly every Disney E Ticket pre-show on the planet (except for the Chinese ones), I've seen eight of the nine Star Wars movies (some repeatedly) and I own the first trilogy on BluRay, and I have good hearing and a very strong grasp of the English language....

But for the life of me, I still am not sure what the point is to that ride. Aside from not looking like an a-hole by taking the pilot's seat away from the kiddies.

Speaking of SpaceX, I was watching the YouTube feed of the Starship blast off and test flight earlier this week. Absolutely incredible technology on display! And to think that is the ship that is going to take America back to the moon this decade (and that first one down the ladder on the moon is going to be a lady astronaut, you just know it, which is also fabulous!). And then the SpaceX Starship is going get us to Mars before the Chinese steal the technology and try it themselves. So awesome!

So I say this again... Why on earth (get it?) does Tomorrowland not have a SpaceX exhibit?!? It seems so obvious to me.

SpaceX is a private company, so it would need to be a sponsorship deal obviously. But something, anything, would be a great reason to reuse the lower level of Innoventions for the next few years until they actually get serious about doing something there. Or put the exhibit in the old Starcade space. Have models and displays about SpaceX and how Starlink works to connect the globe. Some VR sets that let you steer a returning Falcon rocket with its grid fins back onto the ocean barge or the Texas Starbase landing pad, or sit at the mission control center for photos. Get kids excited about science. And have the SpaceX employees have a little video where they talk about their own educational journey and how they worked hard enough to get to SpaceX and what it means to them. Etc., etc.

Bob needs to call Elon and make it happen. This doesn't need to be an E Ticket or any ride, just a sleek and polished exhibit space explaining the work of SpaceX to the average human. It doesn't need to stick around forever, just a few years to fill in the abandoned unused space in Tomorrowland while the rest of the park bursts at the seams.

Because the SpaceX story is truly the American success story of the 2020's and beyond. Bob Iger, please call Elon Musk and get off your butt and do something for a change.

You're absolutely correct, but don't Bob Iger and Elon Musk hate each other?

Do they? That seems silly if they do. Regardless, Tomorrowland is a joke on both coasts and SpaceX is there making real Tomorrowland stuff a reality today.

The Burbank and Glendale execs need to get SpaceX to do an exhibit in Tomorrowland, or just admit they don't care.

No you re not the only one. A Millenium Falcon ride needs to involve fighting or getting away from bad guys in space or on recognizable planets. Not whatever that Gray industrial city we re flying around to collect whatever coaxium is. Where are the tie fighters? Where’s the creature they fly inside on Empire Strikes Back? Where’s Han Solo. Not sure what the hell the imagineers were thinking but it’s clear they were thinking too hard. Only thing I can think of is was it easier to accomplish the real time game play with the dull gray world?

No, this is how I feel too. To me it's Sound and Fury (and apparently very important blinking lights and switches that I'm supposed to be paying attention to, but not so much that I stop paying attention to what's also happpening in the film in front of me), signifying nothing.

You're obviously not up on current events in corporate news. Elon is not on the "nice guy" list for many companies these days.

What are they going to do when he lands us back on the Moon in a few years, then takes us to Mars? Boycott him and SpaceX?
Probably nothing, the same as they are doing now.

TL doesn’t need attractions that will be outdated in a couple years. So anything they could do they could do without SpaceX.

I didn't think the weird ash sprinkling trend would spread to Rise of the Resistance.

Cremation is a Star Wars tradition.

Just came across an extremely rare video recording of the Share A Dream Come True Parade running during the evening hours at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom.

According to the uploader, it was shot sometime during the Winter season of 2001 when the Magic Kingdom used to run a parade at 6:00 PM when the sunset around 5:30 PM.

The Share A Dream Come True Parade (later known as "Disney Dreams Come True Parade" and "Celebrate A Dream Come True") was one of the longest running parades at the Magic Kingdom lasting from 2001 till 2014. The original parade was created to honor Walt's 100th Birthday (as part of the 100 Years of Magic Celebration).

Don't tell Bob Iger, but Elon Musk just put on quite a show this evening across Southern California.

Reports coming in on X show an incredible Starlink launch just after sundown this evening on a SpaceX Falcon launching from Vandenburgh Space Force Base. It's trajectory was towards the Southern Hemisphere and so it went right over Disneyland too! But sure, let's keep Innoventions and the Starcade empty and closed for another five years...

This photo from Frontierland tonight is fabulous!

Can you imagine trying to explain to our ancestors 150 years ago on the western frontier what SpaceX was and what Starlink did for the entire planet?!? They'd never believe our country could come so far, so fast! 🇺🇸 🤠

You do realize Elon is not the only Billionaire producing rockets or plan to go to the Moon, Mars, and beyond.

For example Nasa last year selected Blue Origin's rocket to go to Mars. Blue Horizon is Jeff Bezos' company.

Oh? Does he ever launch rockets over Disneyland from VSFB?

I'm an avid Amazon Prime fan, so I'd love to see the launch schedule.
