The Miscellaneous Thought Thread

I think it's hysterical that WDI copied some fan art posted to Twitter for the Humphry graphic in one of the huts.

It's hysterical how incredibly embarrassing and pathetic this is. Disney's supposed to be home to the greatest theme park designers in the world- and that includes artists.

The fact that it was even necessary to rip off fan art is indicative of how abysmal the current state of Disney's parks department is.

I would like to think all the top artists are working on Galaxy’s Edge. The rest get stuck with garbage like Pixar Pier.

I think there is more to that story. Maybe the "artist" copied from a real Disney source that isn't available online? Maybe the artist worked at Disney and left. Any artwork he did while at Disney is their property. Maybe some intern at Disney was browsing for clipart on the net and thought it was really Disney art. Besides, it would be expensive to fight Disney for copyright on fan artwork.

The artist on twitter seems to have a good perspective and sense of humor about it. He knows Disney owns the character, and he just finds the whole thing funny.

So I was at the park today and you all will be glad to know that the walls around the Adventureland/ Frontierland waterway were down AND..... I’m not sure what they did. The paths don’t seem any wider and the waterway doesn’t appear any smaller. The only thing i noticed is that they may have removed some shrubbery/trees but I’m not sure.

Curious. I wonder if it was just a hydraulic engineering issue that was addressed instead of path widening for SW:GE. That waterway is part DL's "Big River" dark water system that flows between the ROA, the castle moat and environs, Storybookland Canal Boats, the old Motorboat lagoon remnant, the Jungle Cruise, and the treehouse. Maybe the plumbing just needed some maintenance.

Yeah I agree. This is what I told my wife...some plumbing thing.

Just goes to show how fan boards and sites have no idea what they are talking about. Everyone freaks out over nothing.

I agree that fan sites and wannabe insiders have no idea about things but freaking out is only natural. Especially after they screwed up the wall outside of Haunted Mansion. Can't trust these idiots.
