You can , but when I think of Ferris wheels , I think of a local fireman’s fair - just a cheap look for a world class theme park IMO

How is the look cheap? I’ve been to many piers, amusement parks, and fairs, and have never seen a Ferris wheel like the Sun Wheel.
Dark rides are also found at piers, fairs, amusement parks. Carousels, too.

Outside of the pic in front of the castle I would assume that the Fun Wheel is the second most used spot in the resort for pics.

It’s a very photogenic spot that is Disney, at this point. Nothing cheap about it at all.

LOL I hear you it is the weenie of DCA , it’s just a Ferris wheel to me represents the complete opposite of theme park creativity - every carnival , boardwalk , and traveling clownshow has one. Slap a Mickey face on it , and a vomit car option and voila you have an attraction. I wish they would have somehow amped up grizzly peak as the park icon …different strokes I suppose

I don't hate World of Color, but I've only seen it a few times because it's such a pain in the butt to see. A good show, but the payoff isn't good enough for the effort you put into getting a spot.

Some folks don’t realize that Disneyland partially stems from amusement parks. Disneyland is, of course, more fleshed out, themed, and of much higher quality, with more things to do and more impressive rides and attractions. But, undoubtedly, there are fair/amusement park elements in the park. Walt Disney didn’t invent spinner rides, dark rides, and carousels. Even eating popcorn and cotton candy is very much a carnival thing.

I always thought that if they had risers the raised from the ground right before showtime that would be better.

How many Ferris wheels did Walt Disney have at Disneyland ? Maybe I missed it?
The Ferris wheel is the peak of ubiquity - pure laziness especially for the theme park weenie

Does it matter?? He had other typical amusement park rides. It’s quite possible that there were plans to build a Ferris wheel for the park.
