If they were creative enough to agree to alter their message just enough to fit into the Cars Universe as an actual company that would exist there, then yeah, that could actually be fun. As is, this is a creepy omen. I don’t wanna hear a single complaint if United Airlines benches start appearing in Galaxy’s Edge.
Well my friend, you hardly ever see me complain on here anyways… so yeah you won’t be hearing me complain about that.

I have to say I absolutely hate how to make dining reservations. No phone line to call, forced to use the app because the website is crap, and only a handful of reservations dripped out on random unknown days. I just want to make a reservation, why does it have to be this complicated?
Because Disney’s recent specialty is using trendy technology to make guest experiences worse. They’re so good at it, too!

I don’t think Paris’s is much better or worse than this one, unsurprisingly, but of course I haven’t been yet.

I bet it’s a pain having to incorporate two languages into each ride and having the story work for speakers of each. It’s just bizarre that Captain Marvel speaks English and Iron Man speaks French the entire time.

I just noticed that the build-a-droid and the Lightsaber workshop aren't listed as attractions in Galaxy's Edge anymore, and looking back it appears they haven't been since the park reopened after Covid. I'm sure it's been covered in here before, but I thought it was interesting and I'm glad they're not labeling stores as attractions anymore.

I actually find the bilingual approach very fun (I also like it a lot in Rat). It's just a shame that the Flight Force ride isn't better; the facade is actually pretty cool from the videos, but the ride quality reads as a "what if Space Mountain was given a Cosmic Rewind overlay."

I still think Paris is better in that they have a real rollercoaster as part of their land + the expanse and scale is what I expected from a Marvel-themed land. But it's a very low bar to cross and the bar is still low for AC Paris.

Single Rider Horror Story:

Rode Grizzly River Run yesterday with my wife and son. Single Rider hops into the raft and proceeds to sit right next to me and cough up a lung the entire ride. That’s not the best part though. The best part is that immediately upon taking his seat he stakes his claim on that little handle bar thing in the center of the raft (to avoid getting his feet wet) by extending his legs well into my personal zone and placing his feet on the bars. There was no way to avoid his hairy legs rubbing up against mine. So of course by the time we went up the lift hill I had to politely ask him if he could adjust himself.

Also when did they change the safety spiel to Ranger Woodlore’s voice? Up until even last year I think it was a different generic “gold miner” type voice.

Ewww! So sorry that happened to you. Glad to hear about Ranger Woodlore, though; if they add even one Humphrey AA to the ride, I might just set foot in a Disney park again.

I wonder if this is a sign of things to come or just a cute little touch.

So I saw a post earlier saying how much Autopia has changed and is pretty much Autopia in name only when compared to the original version of the attraction. Which got me thinking, which of the Opening Day attractions are the most similar to their opening day versions?

Autopia
Disneyland Railroad
Jungle Cruise
King Arthur Carrousel
Mad Tea Party
Mark Twain
Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride
Peter Pan’s Flight
Snow White’s Enchanted Wish
Storybook Land Canal Boats
Casey Jr. Circus Train

Kings Arthurs Carousel is the obvious choice. But what’s # 2? Mr. Toad I think? Obviously Mark Twain would be it if we were only counting the boat itself but I think you have to factor in the ride experience and how the ROA has changed.

The biggest improvement is food selection.

DCA just has Pym's as a walk up and food carts.

Paris has the food carts, but Pym's is a nicer looking buffet, there's a separate cafeteria place plus the diner selling sandwiches.

All of this being recycled infrastructure from when it was the "backlot" of the Paris studio park.

Yeah we don’t have actual food at ours.

Yeah we don’t have actual food at ours.

Standing outside in the sun for a long time just to get breakfast was one of the worst things about my visit to the DCA Campus.

Also standing outside in the sun waiting to get into WED Slingers after my Boarding Group was called.

I guess getting a sunburn counts as one of the "attractions" in the land.

@PiratesMansion dont go to Naples. Tried it for the first time last night and it was fine. Not good enough for the price though. I actually enjoyed the Margherita I had a couple weeks ago from Napolini more. The crust on the pizza last night was just a little doughy for me for a Neapolitan style pizza. Napolini was actually better and hotter and cheaper. Just Go there if you want pizza. Also they were slammed and service was pretty bad.

The Caesar salad however was one of the best Caesar salads I’ve had in a while. Id actually go back just for that.
