"Flume" smells closer to the E.T. candle. There is a vague whiff of the inside of POTC and it's much better than the HM one, which is barely noticeable and not terribly close to the smell of the ride.

I just remembered something from my trip on Sunday that was disappointing; when I rode HM, the Ghost Host was silent up through the ballroom when he says the ghosts have received our sympathetic vibrations. It was odd to hear him excuse himself from accompanying us when he was silent the entire time up until that point. 😂

Why is it called the Mickey’s Toontown Railroad Station when its on the Fantasyland side?

I’m guessing synergy/ marketing after it was rerouted for Toontown.
I think proximity-wise it's closer to Toontown than it is Fantasyland - that walkway to Toontown is odd in that the only Fantasyland elements nearby are the Theater (which has no discernible aesthetic so as to fit any production they put in there) and Small World (which is even farther away from the stop than Toontown, whose entrance is just to the right.

If the outdoor theater had a stronger architectural aesthetic instead of being the tent and bleachers it is, I could see them carrying it over to the train station; as it stands right now, though, Toontown makes more sense as the train station just outside the city limit.

Water Bottle Refill stations:

1) Where are they? (I know there is one in Frontierland, but I'm forgetting where the others are...)
2) Are they open for use during these crazy COVID times?

Thanks!

There's also one in Tomorrowland, but the best option is just refilling your bottle at a soda fountain at a location that has (had?) Them out- Plaza, Rancho, Pizza Port

This Yesterland article on the history of the Fantasyland Station is good.

I wish they had gone a more traditional route with this station and modeled it after Fantasyland and not Toontown- but it is what it is.

The Toontown Station's design was loosely inspired by the old Frontierland station which is an interesting choice-

The Toontown station is awkwardly positioned and to my eye clumsily (re)designed. When the RR was reconfigured for SW:GE, I had hoped they would strike the Toontown station and put a new station in Frontierland to showcase the rerouted steam train in the themed environment where it most belongs.

Alas.

That would have been an interesting concept... place it right around the area they put the 'wave' rockwork. Could have had it be a large wood structure ala WDW.

I liked that they put the tunnel when you're going to Toontown station but then you get there and it's just a schoolyard chain link fence and mostly a view of the theater. This is the point where they forgot that the scenery was what made everything before it great and after a brief passage through IASM, it's lame backstage next to the Autopia with a stupid Agrifuture sign. They just parked a broken Autopia car there as decor.

I've been watching wait times on the app and it has led to a question:

What is going on that has caused Mermaid to have 30-45 min. waits?? I've never seen that thing have a line of more than 20 minutes. Are they loading every other clam or something?

Possibly. I wonder if the socially distanced queue makes it difficult to load every vehicle optimally as well.

It’s confusing because Covid protocols dont change how Mermaid is being loaded at all. Are they missing some of the clamshells or something? It it could just be the overall lack of ride capacity at the park coupled with the fact that it’s one of two indoor rides for all ages.

Agrifuture sign seems like something out of early DCA. I'm amazed no ones replaced it by now.

They do load every other clam.

Also the elevator wait is 45 minutes, if you want to skip the elevator its more like 10-15.
