I feel that way about many of the movies. They are ok, but I can't get as excited about them as many do. I think it's a fine line between trope and cliche, and that line is in the eye of the beholder. Marvel often crosses over into cliche too much for me. Maybe I'm just old. lol.... Anyway, WandaVision started out well and then quickly descended into cliched silliness and I almost didn't finish the series. Falcon wasn't as bad in that department, IMO. The actors sold the emotional beats very well, and I liked that the show took its time to "dig in" a bit. Maybe I just like these actors enough that I can overlook the cliche. Maybe I'm just in a better mood because it is summer break. lol... *shrug* YMMV.
I guess for me, a movie (even though there are a million of them) is a small investment in time vs a weekly series. But I even found some of the movies pretty tedious. When it comes to Falcon, I also think part of my "meh" attitude comes from just not really caring about the characters all that much. Personally, I find Winter Soldier to be one of the most boring characters in the MCU.

Made it to Anaheim around 5pm. Traffic thru L.A. was awful, but expected it. My Honda Insight made it from San Jose on only 3/4 tank of gas. Only had a short rest before making my 6pm reservation at Totilla Jo’s. My day starts at Disneyland tomorrow. Hopefully I get a ROTR boarding pass!

We've been trying to figure out dinner plans for our trip and that looks FABULOUS. Are they paying you to advertise? They should. :D

I'm watching the Touchstone Pictures classic Armageddon on this Sunday evening because I've apparently got nothing better to do. The NASA training scenes come off like an elaborate pre-show for a Disney attraction that was never built.

Well Armageddon did get an attraction, but perhaps not the best one the movie could have gotten.
This just reminded me of going to Hollywood Studios for the first time and the demonstration of how special effects were done for the new hit film "Pearl Harbor" (this was in 2012).

Had a fun day at Lego land!! The new Lego Movie land was fun. Emmett's Flying Adventure (or whatever it's called) was cute, but made me super motion sick. It's sort of a cheap version of Soarin'. Soarin has never made me sick, so not sure what was up with this version. My husband said he thought the video resolution wasn't as good. Maybe that was it. *shrug*

We made sure to ride Ninjago again so we can directly compare to webslingers in a few days (assuming we can get on it). :)

Good things about theme parks, pandemic style: hand sanitizer is everywhere; masks prevent kids from licking the hand rails. :p

Just to add for those keeping score at home:

This new land was a rethemed area and includes:
1 "E" ticket (soarin knock off)
1 c ticket drop ride (think jelly fish but spins)
1 rethemed carousel
1 water play area (may be re themed.. Can't remember if it was there before)
1 themed playground
1 meet and greet... And photo area to sell you photos
1 restaurant (counter service)
2 snack carts
1 Lego play area(closed temporarily - covid)
Restroom (with a "honey, where are my pants" billboard..lol)
1 gift shop with Lego movie merch (rethemed also)

So took a detour to a farm today (because my husband is obsessed and we bought three avocado trees we can't buy at home.. Yeah some men collect shot glasses on vacation, mine collects plants. Lol). Anyhooo... We felt like proper socal folks coming to Anaheim. We had to take the 15 to the 91 to the 55 to the 22 and then to the 5. We made sure to say "the" for each highway name. :D

Wish us luck on our quest for a Rise boarding group tomorrow morning.
