Well fortunately for you I read the backstory on the Disney Parks blog. It just so happens that the Enchantress doesn’t enchant the castle until we walk through the castle. That’s when it all happens. Very much how we all happen to be walking into Avengers Campus 5 seconds after the Collectors Fortress KABLAM’d there: which is why the Avengers haven’t walked over 10 feet to save the Guardians yet. 😉

I haven't read any Back Story on these rides. Maybe that's what I've been doing wrong all these years.

Same reason why Walt Disney gave a big thumbs down to an aged and abandoned looking Haunted House at Disneyland.
Hong Kong or wherever this ride is at is nooooooo Disneyland. Walt was right. since they made Phantom Manor in Paris look run down, that rule for these foreign parks does not apply like it does at Disneyland because honestly, who cares about these parks? Disneyland is really the only one that matters, florida to a lesser extent

The Tokyo Disney Resort has more people come to it every year than the Disneyland Resort. Bad comment.

It's not on the blog, @mickEblu made it up as a joke.

Are you comparing Tokyo Disney Sea to Walmart?

Also that goes against your previous point that nobody cares about the parks.
Sure am. You dared to compare it to the majesty and history of Disneyland. Just because people visit a place don't mean they care about it or love it. some go to the foreign parks to try match it against Disneyland or Disneyworld but in the end, they always come back to their true love, Disneyland.

also, also call me when Tokyo becomes 65 years old and has has many visitors from around the world in its life time as Disneyland has had.
Tokyo Disneyland has had faster attendance growth year over year than Disneyland for years now.

You said no one cared about "Hong Kong Disneyland or whatever park this is" in your initial comment, and I debunked that claim.

If Tokyo DisneySea is Walmart quality Disney can you pinpoint a few design flaws with the park in your opinion that makes it a terrible Disney Park.

1. Again wal-mart is busy does not make it a great store so their attendance means nothing to me. Disneyland has had great attendance for 65 years except this year.

2. You did not debunk anything. Tokyo is not and will never be loved or cared about or talked about the way Disneyland is. Sorry, never going to happen despite your personal opinions.

Gonna try and get an entry ticket for BatB in Tokyo this Friday. It's a completely random lottery and you get one shot per day and that's it, plus you have to have already bought your park ticket and gotten inside the park before you can try for it. Awful system.

I'm spoiler-free so far still although I'm hearing that the reception has been fairly underwhelming.

The two American parks just opened Rise of the Resistance less than a year ago...

And what exactly has Tokyo been getting in recent years that would shame the US parks? The last few attractions were clones of Soarin' and Toy Story Mania I believe. Tokyo has suffered as much from stagnation the last decade as the domestic parks. Yes, they do a wonderful job with entertainment and general park upkeep, but I'm not sure there's much to crow about in terms of recent attractions.
When was the last time they opened a truly outstanding unique attraction? Probably have to go back to the opening of TDS in 2001.
Just gonna leave this quote from this user from a different thread right here. cough *DISNEYALND'S BETTER* cough.

Only reason I mentioned attendance is because you said "lol no one cares" which the attendance numbers contradict.

When did I say that I prefer TDR to Disneyland?

You seem to be very hostile to the idea that people even like or care about any of the international parks, when so far you haven't even demonstrated that you know that much about anything about these parks.

Please leave a review here. A first hand report would be good to read.

I don't see the reason to go to DTD. It's not there is anything people need to buy there.
It's a tourist trap with "Disney Magic!" <barf>
I only ever visit on actual trips as I'm not a local but there are only a few reasons me and my family or friends visit DTD. We sometimes go to Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen for dinner as it's so insanely delicious, and same with Naples. We used to go to ESPN Zone because my parents could sit at the table and watch sports / get off their feet for a while and my brothers and I would to play in the arcade so it was a win-win. When my family used to visit DLR we would stay at the Grand Californian so we would walk through DTD to get back into the hotel which was incredibly convenient, especially the direct connection in DCA for when we were soaked from riding GRR and wanted to change into dry clothes. We'd get Jamba Juice or ice cream at Haagen Dazs after dinner sometimes if we didn't crave anything in particular in the park. We did like to window shop in DTD though. Even when I visit now with friends we all love to check out World of Disney and the Lego store just to look around. Usually we do this the day we arrive cause we usually arrive in the early evening and don't go in the parks til the next day, so we like to kill time and explore. We also used to go to Rainforest Cafe when I was younger even though I had to close my eyes and plug my ears because the thunder storm scared me so much 🤣

I hate these lottery systems Disney is using for rides now. The boarding groups for RotR seems so annoying to have to participate in to get to ride, and having a random lottery you can try for once a day for BatB sounds frustrating. What if you only have one or two days to visit and don't get lucky both days? I honestly think I'd prefer if Disney just went the route they always have with new rides opening and let the line go long but don't leave it to chance. RotR at least is first come first serve so it is closer to first to arrive first to ride to some extent but you can still arrive 30 minutes before opening and get in the last groups and possibly not ride. A completely random lottery system sounds even worse. I don't know, it seems like these trackless rides just don't have good capacity and while they look like they can be fun they seem inefficient and over used in rides that could benefit from having a different ride system to enhance both the ride experience and the capacity.

TDR (and Japan in general) has a history of using lottery systems for whatever reason. The popular Big Band Beat show at DisneySea has been using a lottery system for at least a couple years now if not longer, and a lottery ticket is also the only way to ride either Soarin' or Midway Mania at DisneySea right now for some reason.

You're right that this is even worse than the RotR boarding pass system because it's 100% random and isn't based on anything whatsoever. The RotR system is at least first-come-first-serve, which in theory rewards those who show up to the park early, even if in practice it's a bit wonky.

OLC is claiming that the lottery for BatB is for Coronavirus reasons, but honestly I don't believe that. Even if the park was at full capacity right now the demand for BatB would be so insane that I bet they'd be doing some kind of reservation system regardless.
