I long suspected this as well. In fact didn't he hand over the reigns of DL to someone else? I'm blanking on the name right now, but I could have sworn this was the case during EPCOT planning.
I can’t remember the chain of command either, but I think it’s safe to say, Walt felt secure with Disneyland being in good enough hands before he proceeded with “The Florida Project”.

Yeah no doubt. But to say he would probably have never come back to tinker with it I think is probably not true, no matter how engrossed by EPCOT he would have been. Not saying you said that, but just pointing out that fact.

Anyways, its fun to discuss but of course we're all going to speculation town here.

True, and think how different the entire Park would be. I suspect a lot of what we cherish about the Parks today wouldn't be there if Walt had lived into the 1970s or even 1980s.
I’m pretty sure the parks would have seen more amazing adventures built around in-house created characters and stories. Big Thunder would have included/saved more of Nature’s Wonderland. I think he’d have loved the ‘83 Fantasyland redo. Discovery Bay might have been buillt.

Pirates of the Caribbean in Florida would have been much better.

Star Wars might have been in the parks as an in-house creation because Walt might have loved Lucas’s space opera pitch and SW would have been a Disney production from the start. Either that, or The Black Hole would have been a much better movie and the basis for Space Mtn.

Of course, as already mentioned, he might have lost all interest in the parks and been focused entirely on creating his ideal future city in Florida.

Could be. Its all speculation at this point.

The Me Too movement is now going after Ellen Degeneres. We have gone full circle ladies mad gentlemen.
It all went downhill for Ellen after that Dakota Johnson interview.

I think it’s a shame when a talented performer like James Corden or Ellen DeGeneres settles into a daytime talk show host role as their main gig. Sure, I don’t blame them; it’s guaranteed big, big money. But their time hosting amounts to such a pile of disposable, forgettable, instantly outdated content...when they instead might have been appearing in films or stage performances that make far better and more enduring use of their talents.

Ellen is/was great as a host, but her standup and sitcom performances showed she’s capable of a lot more.

Although Dory’s probably already her bit of film immortality.

I see nothing wrong with taking down people with big money/personas who abuse their position and/or treat their underlings like trash, regardless of who they are or what their affiliations may be.
It's highly likely that it's far more reaching than people know and employees have kept quite because they don't want to ruin their chance in Hollywood. That's all changing now. Social movements are making people are less and less afraid to speak up. This Epstein document and the contents, if true, could be the downfall of many in Hollywood and Politics.

Just a reminder that many people who worked for Walt Disney, including the Sherman Brothers and the Nine Old Men, have often said Walt could be harsh, insulting, aggravating, egotistical and unwilling to express gratitude or praise for a job well-done.

Still a genius, a visionary and a great leader, but not the perpetually smiling uncle-figure presented on TV.

But did he touch people inappropriately?
