That's not the original. Those figures were added as part of the first PC attempt. They actually came from World of Motion at Epcot. They were from the scene were they try get a donkey to pull a wagon out of the mud.

One thing I noticed on Pirates that I've never seen before was if you look back when you're inside the room with the moving wood after the jail, there's a fire up at the very top viewable from reverse angle.

Someone remind me to check this out next year.

That reminds me, and I forgot to put this in my trip report, but if you look back at the first projection on Space Mountain you can see the asteroid.

Has anyone noticed that one of the pirates right before the hill at the end has been impaled through the torso/shoulders? The big handle that makes the hoist thing rotate appears to be going through his body. You would think he is leaning on it but you can’t see it in front of his body.

Was POTC the first dark ride/ boat ride with a drop in the world? Had thrills ever been combined with a dark ride/ boat ride? In other words, how caught off guard were the first riders in the late 60s? If they didn’t read the warning signs that is.

I have a really good post coming up for y'all about IP's in the park. It's a long essay. Look forward to it.
