That doesn't bode well for you if the attraction they put in the Avatar land at DL is anything like FOP...I can do Star Tours, but FOP is a hell no.
This is part of the reason we skipped it at AK. That, and there were no more LL's available in the am, and none of us wanted to wait 2 hours in the standby line. I especially didn't want to wait 2 hours to possibly puke. No thanks.

I usually advise people to do it last thing. You'll probably still have to wait, but AK is typically busiest in the morning, and then people hop over to other parks, and it becomes dead in the afternoon. So if you ride it last, your wait is shorter. Maybe an hour, but you won't wait two hours. Then I advise people to go over to Disney Springs and either eat QS or get a last minute dining reservation someplace (they're typically available same day).

When I was there last month, Safari was a walk on at EOD, and we waited about 20 minutes for Dinosaur. EE I always use the single rider line.

I was in San Diego for the last few days, and it was definitely cooler down there. Which I assumed it would be, but the change was jarring. 🤣 It was 83 when I got up here. 😂

Meanwhile, when I was here in June 2023, it was in the 60s and I most definitely did not pack appropriately. 🤣
Yep. June gloom and a hot October. Welcome to coastal California. 😅

If you'd come to the central valley in June, your face would've melted. We still get the hot October, however.

Yeah, we came later in June when I was growing up and never got June gloom prior to that. We were not prepared, like, at all. 🤣

I like October better, though, because SUNSHINE. I get cranky if I don't see the sun too many days in a row. Oh, and these low crowds are nice.

Maryland is bipolar in October; I think it was 80 yesterday in Baltimore and should be in the 70s when I get back. But it was in the 30s the morning I left. Definitely gets colder at night than here in October; I heard Californians talking about the temperature drops at night, meanwhile Maryland is trying to give us heatstroke and frostbite in the same day.

That's not a fight. We've been complaining about this for years. There's a reason a DL YouTuber has dubbed it "sorrowland". 😅
Yeah, for years, you could at least argue that it has the better attractions. Now that MK has Tron...

Yeah, no, it's terrible, and it needs help.

Okay, I'm gonna start a fight in here.

MK's Tomorrowland is better.
I'M SORRY, OKAY?
Is it? I've never been, but other than the People Mover, Astro Oribiter, and Carousel of Progress, what makes it better? Their Space is outdated, Tron isn't very good, Stitch is empty, MILF is outdated, the Speedway isn't much. Star Tours, Space Mountain, Autopia, the Monorail, and the lagoon make for a much better Tomorrowland in my eyes.

MK' TL proper as in the main path and surrounding buildings looks better than ours, their PeopleMover is running and their Rocket Jets are still up high but you make a good point with he lagoon, Monorail and Autopia. Plus Star Tours and the apparently preferred Space. I think at the very least its a wash.

My memory of MK's Tomorrowland last summer was concrete so hot I could feel it through the soles of my shoes. Wish our visions of the future included more shade.

First of all, Space Mountain in WDW is no more dated than Matterhorn is, and it's the only one like it in existence, whereas the DL one has been copied elsewhere (granted the Tokyo one is gone now, but it also exists in Hong Kong).

Star Tours exists in DHS, and has a much nicer facade (it's an AT-AT Walker that periodically shoots, very cool. Then you go through the forest scene from Endor if the line is out the door; during the day, it plays Star Wars music, and at night, you hear Ewoks). Not to mention with the blessing of size, it's got two additional speeders and I believe there's an additional row in each speeder, so it generally has pretty short waits. I don't wait if I see it's posted more than 20 minutes.

I'm not the biggest fan of the submarines (I'm sorry!) They take forever to load, and for me, they make me feel claustrophobic. Packed like sardines in a can.

The monorail at DL is very much an attraction. At WDW, it's very much a mode of transportation. It's still fun to ride, but we're using it to get someplace. Bonus: if you don't have park tickets, you can ride the monorail or the Skyliner.

But now, back to the original discussion: Aesthetically, MK's Tomorrowland is much better. In spite of the former Stitch area not being actively used, there's very little dead space. Unless you know that SGE was there, you wouldn't know anything is supposed to be there. They use it mostly for stroller parking, and I've also seen them use it for meet and greets and as a thunderstorm shelter. There's very little they can do with that space because it's small and backs up to the kitchen at Cosmic Ray's. On the same note, they can't do a lot with the Laugh Floor space because it backs up to the Tomorrowland Terrace space.

Speaking of Cosmic Ray's, we can't skip talking about Sonny Eclipse. He's been a mainstay of the place for years. They need to improve the food, but Sonny Eclipse makes that place.

Back to little dead space, Astro Orbitor is at the center (where it belongs). Underneath it is the Peoplemover entrance. Underneath that is the Lunching Pad, which includes additional seating.

Over near Tron is an additional place selling frozen drinks. There's also a churro/popcorn stand, as well as my favorite, Joffrey's. The fact that Joffrey's barely exists at DL is a topic for another time. 🤣

MK's Tomorrowland has also been better maintained. DL's Tomorrowland is the only place in the park that looks worn. MK's got a refresh along with the addition of Tron.

The only thing I'll say is that Buzz really, really needs a refurb. They also could probably take out the speedway and do something else with that space. They are limited in how far they can expand out because, well, swamp.

The best part of DL’s Tomorrowland is the part that’s always on the chopping block. Go figure. One day when they pull trigger and replace it all with a Frozen trackless ride I think it will be regretted by many.
