The flaw in your theory is everyone else will be doing the exact same thing. So, no, you are not riding 2 headliners in the 30 minutes before the park opens. You're standing in line for one, and then waiting until your first Genie+ ride window opens.
I will bow to your superior knowledge about WDW and how rope drop works and how Genie+ will totally ruin your trip. Since you apparently have inside knowledge of how Genie+ is going to work, I will now just bow out of this conversation. Hope you trips to WDW are magical.

Not everyone, according to Jeff, 75% of people don't do rope drop. Not to mention, it's only resort guests that get early entry. Still, even just one headliner at rope drop is better than either not doing a headliner, waiting two hours for one, or paying money to do it.

I'm saying that the majority of rope-droppers go to Space and SDMT, since Splash and BTMRR won't be open for the early morning option. The lines will be long enough that you'll only be able to do one headliner before everyone else is let into the park.

I wouldn't spend too much time and energy gaming this out. When TRON opens, the Magic Kingdom's operating model is going to change drastically.
Do you expect it to be just like ROTR, Boarding Groups and then paid FP (or whatever they are calling it)?
Yes, that is my expectation, along with 8am or even 7am openings most days for a long period of time.
