The Mandalorian series may just have run its course. Actually the most popular character was "The Child" aka. baby Yoda. The issues involving the actors distract from the fictional story and change possible development of other Mandalorian story lines. One thing about Star Wars just as the Mandalorian evolved other characters and story lines can be developed. There can be other rogue Empire soldiers, Resistance fighters and Bounty Hunters. I am curious to see how creative Lucas Films can get.

Oh yea, a fresh crop of actors. New untainted, motivated to impress and make their own name talent helps.

Sure I do. The differences between the two instances have been identified in detail. They’re easy to distinguish.
I am done interacting with you today. It is clear your moral compass is way off when it comes to costumed parties and thinking pedophilia is something ok'ed to be joked about under any circumstance.

But why should someone be terminated over that though, when it is not essential to their job?

'Election fraud!'
'No election fraud!'

Neither statement should lose you your job in a calm, sensible society.

"Jews were beaten in the streets, not by Nazi soldiers but by their neighbors . . . even by children," Carano posted. "Because history is edited, most people today don't realize that to get to the point where Nazi soldiers could easily round up thousands of Jews, the government first made their own neighbors hate them simply for being Jews. How is that any different from hating someone for their political views."

Do you believe that being a conservative today is the same as being a Jew in the 1940s in Germany?

They shouldn’t. But this isn’t a one time thing. But we can keep nitpicking things until they fit our agenda but we know the answer.

I will say whether you liked her ideals or not, she was warned multiple times. All the examples people are bringing up against the “progressive,” well how do you know that Pedro hasn’t been warned either? When you work for someone else & your culture doesn’t align with their company culture, there will be a conflict. And that’s beyond Disney. After the 5-10th warning, Gina had every right to decide if she should speak her heart or continue working for a company she may not agree with at all. If you get multiple warnings from any job, you’re gone. Let’s not be brand new just because we’re disappointed by the results.

Many comedians and comedy shows have made successful jokes about all kinds of terrible things, including pedophilia and rape. People laugh because A, the joke is well constructed and funny, and B, because they know this a comedy show and not the real world. Gina wasn't doing a bit, she wasn't having a laugh or satirizing anything. She was making a statement. A statement that goes against her employer's policies.

Also, to compare Gunn and her is idiotic. Gunn did these things decades ago, when edge humor was in. Everyone wanted to be Daniel Tosh and Dane Cook. Gunn was just REALLY bad at it. When they surfaced the first time, Disney told him this can never happen again. And it didn't. Ever. Gina was told to cut it out in November. Less than 4 months later and she's doing it again. That's a friable offense.

When Gunn was fired, it was because Conservatives were angry over Rosanne, so they brought up old news and made a stink about it. Disney was dumb and caved despite already forgiving Gunn for these tweets and Gunn being diligent about not repeating the long outgrown offense.

One is going through someone's history searching for things out of context to hang them by. The other is someone saying something and not liking the reaction they get. Gina was a moron. Not because of her views, although they are pretty dumb, but because she blew her shot by running her mouth on twitter.

Because her JOB is to be liked by the public. Celebrities make their companies money because people like them. If people stop liking you, then her company has no use for her. Its Capitalism. If McDonalds got a new meat supplier and everyone hated the new burgers, guess what? They would cancel their contract with their new supplier. Its not Cancel Culture, its Capitalism these people hate. They are realizing that a company doesn't care about an employee, they just care about how much money the employee makes them or costs them.

how does it not endorse pedophilia?? he dressed as a pedo priest as if it was something to joke about. sooo many priests have ruined kids for life, scared them for life, made them disturbed adults, but because its based on a popular show it should all be taken in good fun?!!! Yeah nooo. come on my dude. I like you, but you are better than this my guy.
If you have a Supervillain party where everyone dresses up as Darth Vader, Blowfeld, Thanos, etc...are you hosting a murder/genocide party and endorsing murder/genocide?

Yes. been to many. never been to one themed where it encourages you to dress up as your favorite pedophile cliche. that is sick and not a subject to joke about or have a party around.
I've been to parties where everyone dresses as their favourite serial killer, either fictional or real. Dexter, John Wayne Gacey, Ed Gein, Norman Bates... Weird, no actual serial killers in attendance despite us all thinking the theme was fun. Its almost as if we're able to separate reality and fantasy.

No, I think USA=Nazi Germany is an overblown comparison of a civil discourse that has lost its sense of proportion, easily losing sight that it is disrespectful to both Nazi victims and the US.

But in a respectful society you don't go after each other's livelyhood over crude or even crass expression of political opinion either.
