That actually could be possible. The big problem with last jedi was the writing/story. So since he would not have a part in that, it could be ok. I still don't want it, but if he secretly did direct an episode, I do think most would probably like it. Now the funny part would be watching the reaction to finding out it was Rian that directed it.
