Steph's bio:
30 yrs old, will turn 31 Tax Day (Gpa wanted parents to name me Iris for IRS :zipit: ). Grew up in Nebraska but have lived several places since college, including Orlando (CP + 3 summers), DC, Chicago, and now the Big Apple. Currently live w/ DBF of 2 years whom, as I've shared w/ some here, I actually met indirectly in this way.
Short recap for Rick: 8 years ago, when I 1st discovered the internet, I was involved in a similar close-knit group on a message board.....my 1st and last until now! I befriended a few wonderful girls whom I'm still very, very close friends w/ to this day. We've all visited each other numerous times and have been there for one another through alot. One in particular, waaay back when we all first met wanted to introduce me to her brother, saying that we would be perfect for each other. For one reason or another, it never happened until we finally met at her wedding 2 years ago...and have been together ever since :o

Was Elementary Ed major, but found that I could make more and didn't have to deal w/ the politics of the schools by being a nanny. I did that up until I moved here, when I hung up my Poppins umbrella and now "take care of" grown-ups at a finance company. :)

Love of Disney has been in me since birth....I come from a long line of Diznoids

Hi all, and let me start with a question....

Why do I keep coming back to this thread. can someone explain this....
and I am sincerely asking, not being mean or sarcastic.
:)

Because we don't have any agenda here except friendliness.
No flame wars,
No my-opinion-counts-more-than-yours-because-I've-been-here-longer,
No lies.
We're here just to be friends and that includes the bad stuff along with the fun.

Alright, hold on.

I am Rick, 32, happily married for 7 1/2 years. Father of one 3 year old superstar (in my eyes)daughter and one more on the way in July.
I am a sales engineer for a Manufacturer's Rep Firm in NW Florida.
bachelors degree in Industrial Technology (don't ask, I have no idea)
I grew up on Disney Channel in the 80's but only went to MK 3 times as a child. I grew up in St. Pete, FL but my family didn't have much money. In 2003 I had a business trip to Orlando and some of the events were at WDW. The following November I brought my wife, daughter and my wife's 2 younger sisters and I have been officially hooked eversince.
I love music, listening to classical piano right now, play trumpet and guitar at church and also lead the youth group.
I was a "band nerd" in High school and I married a cheerleader, so I am in fact the luckiest guy in the world. And believe me I know it.

That's a start, whose next.

Grew up on Disney Channel in the 80's....so would that, by chance include Kids Incorporated? :lookaroun

That is true. I am looking forward to this upcoming trip. We are going to be celebrating my 50th BD and our 30th anniversary.:sohappy:

:sohappy: :sohappy:

Luke... I think OMG are the only three letters that can describe your avatar.

(Either that, or ... :lookaroun )

Cool. My sister got accepted there a few days ago. :D

By the way, I saw about 7562839 people with 3v3 shirts on Sunday.

Sorry you missed out :lookaroun

Anyone easily recognizable from Belle River? :lookaroun

(They only went to MK on Monday, as far as I know, but they played the weekend.)

Its a really nice area. She ought to enjoy. One of the few places left in Florida that has not seen a major hurricane hit.

My short bio:
I'm Dot. I'm 52 and have been married to George for 33 years. He is my best friend and the love of my life. We have 2 fantabulous daughters Lauren who will be 27 in a few days and Stacey who is 25. They are my heartbeats. I work part-time at a local convenience store schlepping coffee. George and I have been WDW fanatics since our first trip in 1990. It is our shared passion. I came here to this site in September of 2005 and did something totally unlike me. . .I put myself out there, jumped in with both feet and made myself part of something that makes me extremely happy. I have never regretted it, although it is not always fun or easy. But nothing this worthwhile would be, would it?

Dot, that's great.. That is a goal of mine, for my wife to tell people after 33 years of marriage that I am her best friend.
