I'm actually excited about this...

It's time for an update. And as others have mentioned, the Nemo overlay has been done really well thus far. Turtle Talk with Crush is hands down my FAVORITE addition to the parks. It's an amazing piece of technology. Even adults are amazed.

My wife and I wil miss the movie. Everytime we get big rainstorm we both repeat the line from TLS movie... "And it rained and rained, and rained... The Deluge."

Farewell movie!!!

I have the feeling that whatever theme and theme park sit in the shadows of the tradition and creativity of Walt's amazing Disneyland will undoubtedly be compared unfavorably - both in content and in hard attendance numbers. Any new image, IMHO, will only marginally change those hard facts. Disneyland is a true classic...and it hasn't looked better (WDW's Main Street cannot even hold a candle to Disneyland's).

My point is simply that DCA suffers more from Disneyland envy than from any real failures by the imagineers and/or bean counters.
I'm not too sure... WDI almost wasn't involved with DCA. Scary thought, huh?

The Imagineers knew it wouldn't work. Now if they were given the right powers, I think something truly great might have emerged in the parking lot. John Hench even disliked DCA - that or at least liked the parking lot more.

As for my source on this info, there is always a source.

CTX -- I definitely think Turtle Talk needs a bit more education (when Dory comes, nothing is there!)

haha! lol i LOVED that show! but the theatre was insanely small!! and it's going to be a very popular attraction once TLS is done so that leads me to my question. any1 hear if the turtle talk with crush theatre is going to be expanded?? thanks in adavance!

*sigh* So tell me, why does everyone believe that test track does not fit the theme of future world, though everyone gets very excited about nemo coming and does not even fit the theme one bit in future world?

Future World has not been focused on the future for a long time now......I don't see what the problem with either attraction is....now if they would jsut change the name of Future World to something more relevant

I say, keep the discovery as part of Future World. I mean, honestly...

Just add a nice Test Track post-show, keep the Living Seas with a forward-focus, and there really is no issue. :)

OH! speaking of Test Track's post-show, have you seen the quasi-new "Dreamchasers"?

If you didn't know what it was (which I didn't at first), it looks like a brainwashing machine or something. Creepy.

Well said Grizz! Nemo really doesn't have any sense of innovation, discorvery, or future technologies. He's just a cheap excuse to get people to visit the Living Seas.

Well, I wouldn't mind him if he actually teaches about the FUTURE of Seas and man's attempts to understand more. That would make kids be more interested I think. Let's just wait and see what our fish have in store. :p

There can be a school of fish... ha...

It will be a welcome addition as the Living Seas could use a little love. We went on the last day of operation and saw Crush and I must say it was quite amazing and quite funny. Hopefully the rest of the changes will be as good.

We had spoken to a woman who was working the Kidcot fun stop in the Land building prior and she said that the hydrolators were going as well as the Nemo seacabs coming back so I believe that plans won't be kept too secret but you never know...

Let's hope for the best with this rehab. I seriously have no problem with Nemo and friends being used....as long as they are used to educate us in an entertaining way. That is what EPCOT's mission is afterall. If this rehab is as good or better then the Land then I consider us lucky.

As for the ride portion....what exactly will this new seacab ride be all about?

Expanding "Turtle Talk" area would be very nice. But what area could they make it a larger to fit more people? My family as a whole like Nemo and are excited to see the changes that will come to TLS. TLS was becoming a mandatory "I guess we should go in" attraction. After some of the Nemo additions, we felt a lot more excited about TLS. The seacabs will make TLS very popular. I know my family likes any attraction (when done right) with a ride section. It gets you off your feet and the visual stimulation and cool place to relax during a hot day. When will the first part of this rehab be finished?? I only did the seacabs once, but from what I remember it was pretty fun going through the tube and looking at the aquarium from a different angle.

They've done a great job on the changes that have been made so far, so I have faith in WDI to turn out something spectacular. When we were there in May we commented that the old stuff looked funny and didn't match with the new. When I heard about this next set of changes, so that they could completely theme the entire building as one, it was a relief.

For those worried about the loss of edutainment, there is plenty of education in the Bruce's playroom. Turtle Talk was so wonderful that we saw it twice that week. Adding Nemo is definately a win-win situation! Can't wait for the seacabs!
