The Incredibles

Woa! I just saw the coming attractions for Pixar's The Incredibles. This is by far looking like Pixar's best work yet! Fortunately Disney's contract with Pixar doesn't expire for the next couple of Pixar films, including The Incredibles. I could definately see a The Incredibles attraction added to the Magic Kingdom or Disney-MGM Studios!

The Incredible Edible Egg.

I do have to agree...this does look like Pixar's best work.

I will go as far as saying this may be the best Superhero movie of all time.

After Cars (assuming 2 years), Eisner will be gone and a new CEO will be pressured into making a new deal with Pixar. I'm hoping that such a new deal will be an all-out merger!

BTW, did you know that Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith will have a trailor attached in the beginning of The Incredibles and that George Lucas was the founder of Pixar before selling the company to Steve Jobs?

Does anyone know if Pixar is already working on projects for other companies?

They're not, although other companies, such as Fox are interested. Ideally Pixar would like to go back with Disney. Pixar's CEO Steve Jobs may be waiting for Disney to elect a new CEO before renewing talks with Disney. Also, it is possible that Steve Jobs himself may be a candidate to fill in for Eisner when he steps down in less than two years, in which case Jobs would make a deal with himself to bring Pixar back, probably by merger.

Those would be interesting negotiations.

Steve Jobs vs. Steve Jobs: The Battle for Pixar

The big question: Who would win?

Better than Spider-Man 2?

This movie does look incredible, much better than Finding Nemo I'd have to say.....I wonder if I would be able to change my user name to "IncrediblesRock" or "Mr. Incredible."

Disney Visa cardholders get to go to free previews of Disney films. I saw Miracle that way. Seeing a film the first time out of the box is amazing. The quality alone is first rate, much less seeing it a week before everyone else, and for free to boot.

This used to be a perk of the Disney Club. Unfortunately I was busy this Saturday, so I could not go to the preview.

By any chance did your preview have the Revenge of the Sith trailer in it?

EDIT: Sorry, I rushed to post it without reading your last paragraph. So, let me ask that question here to anyone who DID see the preview.

Didn't you say the same thing with Oscar in Shark Tale?

I got a chance to see the sneak preview this weekend. They did not show the Star Wars preview with it. I was really hoping they would. I was kinda disappointed cuz I was hoping they would have it attached. They did show a preview for Cars...doesn't look good at all. The preview started off funny then turned into basically just cars zipping around a race car track a la NASCAR. Didn't make me want to see it all, very uninteresting. But that is just my opinion.

The short Boundin' was really good. Very funny.

The Incredibles was really good. Altho, this is aimed more at adults. There are alot of I guess you could say adult situations in the movie that kids won't understand. I read an interview with Brad Bird where he said that Monster, Inc was pretty much aimed at just the kids, and The Incredibles is aimed more at adults.

The movie also starts off slow, it doesn't really pick up until about an hour into the movie. It is a 2 hour movie (I think it clocks in at 1 hour, 55 minutes). It worked tho, it seemed to me they were setting the movie up to be maybe a franchise. But it was one of the few animated movies were I actually thought they were putting alot of detail into the characters. I can see alot of people saying that it is too long.

Overall, awesome movie. Just don't know how I compare it with the Toy Story movies, A Bug's Life, & Finding Nemo.
