Now that we have covered every type of attraction, now guests are hungry and where will they eat, A NEW TABLE SERVICE RESTAURANT!!!

That’s right; you are going to be making a new Table Service Restaurant area for Magic Kingdom, ANYWHERE IN MAGIC KINGDOM. It can replace an existing area, BUT IT MAY NOT TAKE THE PLACE OF AN EXISTING RESTAURANT

It can be a sit down (normal Table Service like Le Cellier), or a Character table service like Cinderella’s Royal Table, or even a Table Service Buffet (like Crystal Palace or Trail’s End)

It MUST be open for BREAKFAST AND at least Dinner OR Lunch (it can have all three, but breakfast is needed and have dinner/lunch… I hope you understand.)

NO BEAUTY AND THE BEAST OR PIRATES THEMED RESTAURANT WILL BE ACCEPTED!!!! NON! ZERO! ZILCH! NADA! CERO!

So here are the MUSTS:
-Theming
-Story (please state story, even if it wont be apparent to guests)
-Props/Elements that tie to the land
-Menu
-Service Breakfast AND Lunch/Dinner

NOTE TO JUDGES: If you have any criteria you think is missing PLEASE feel free to PM me and I can change the MUST NEEDS.. Thanks…

This project is ***DUE FRIDAY OCTOBER 9th***I will begin scoring on Saturday… PLEASE if you KNOW you will be late PLEASE PM me letting me know…

If you have any questions feel free to post or PM them to me… I hope you all have fun… And yes this has to be something you made for this project, not something you already had… Thanks J

Have Fun!!!

P.S. If _Scar and disneyman82 DON’T TURN IN THIS PROJECT… They will be AUTOMATICALLY Eliminated!!!

I don't get what you mean by a story. can you explain a little bit more, i'm not rele sure what you mean

I think he means like how did it get there, who built it, stuff like that.

Shrunken ned might have a restaurant in AL for all the people on the Jungle Cruise that, based on the story of that attraction and que, bring supplies in.

Poor example but it should help.

Read THIS:

http://jimhillmedia.com/blogs/jeff_lange/archive/2006/02/13/1522.aspx

It's an example of just one set piece that Disney sets up (in small doses and in any place that it fits) to ensure that guests have a cohesive understanding of the theme area that they are in. It's not something everyone has to notice... it's just that nothing should conflict and everything has a purpose.

For example...

Did you know that "Chester & Hester's Dino-Rama!" is actually run by a couple (named Chester and Hester) looking to collect a few bucks? They first ran a gas station (which was well populated by visitors to The Dino Institute), but they realized they could make much more by running a fair. I mean (they thought), wouldn't the visitors to the institute get bored easily at that snooze-fest of a museum? So they took all they money they had from the Gas Station and invested it into a few carny rides and 2 dino suits. Well, it looks like it paid off... they had so many visitors, they had to convert the gas station into a gift shop! That's why there's a gas pump in there (Fun Fact: the gas brand Dinoco, is the same one seen in Toy Story and Cars!).

Thanks Disneyson for the example...

It doesnt have to be this long story, it can be like a paragraph or even a couple GOOD sentences...

Here is an example:
If you placed a diner in toontown called Daisy's Diner:
--This is the local hangout spot for all of Disney's Toons to eat and have fun run by Donald's lovable girlfriend Daisy...

Here is what i mean by NOT FITTING IN:
If you just for some ODD reason place a saloon type restaurant in ToonTown, How does it connect?? no way no story can connect it...

So its pretty basic...

THe KEY Element to this is original restaurant concept and THEMING is KEY.. along with the MENU... A MENU IS A MUST MUST

Are we allowed to use the pirate/Pecos Bill restraunt? I only ask bc I know it's on seasonal operation...

Edit: I just realized I read the requirements wrong. I thought it HAD to take the place of an existing restaurant. Rereading the post I know realize it may not take replace an existing restraunt. So I'm going to assume that the answer to my question is no...

YVW bamsk8er49 :)

As for the El Pirata y El perico, the answer is NO!! :)

I want you to add a restaurant somewhere else, to me it seems that MK doesnt have that many dining choices, specifically TS restaruants, so taking one away to add a new one would defeat the purpose...

Im glad you reread the project and cleared up your "confusion"

Im looking forward to these projects..

******IM ALSO ADDING ANOTHER REQUIREMENT:*******
--MUST HAVE A LAYOUT OF THE RESTAURANT, includes waiting room, diningroom(s), kitchen, etc.

We will be welcoming a new judge to the competition. They PMd me asking to become a judge, and was interested, and didnt want to join in the middle of the comp...

And since i really have only one judge the past couple of projects (Disneyson and sometimes KingMickey, and Wannabe Walt is MIA, which i understand b/c life is busy) we will have a new judge so you all can have more input in your projects :)

One last quick question. Do we have to replace something, or can we add a new building for this attraction?

Also, can we create a "phase 2" for the new Fantasy Forest addition???

Yes you can build your own building...

ALso i forgot to tell you... This is to take place as if there is no FANTASY FOREST refurb.. so there IS a TOonTown and 1/2 of Fantasyland... NO FANTASY FOREST
