A script with ACTUAL character dialouge. It's really not that hard; here's an example:

(Curtain. Lights come up, the stage is empty except for a lone rope hanging from the ceiling. 2 handsome men walk in...)

Disneyson 1: What lovely weather, eh KingMickey?

KingMickey: You said it!

(Noticing rope, he walks over to it.)

KingMickey: Say, what's this?

Song: "A ROPE!"

Disneyson 1: "A rope! A rope! A ropey ropey rope!"

KingMickey: "What could? It do? I would pull it, how 'bout you?"

(end song)

(KingMickey pulls on rope, a gallon of water falls from the ceiling onto Disneyson 1. Blackout, Curtain)

I know that that's the kind of script we need, but I don't know if we can do a big long script for the show from start to finish. So that's why I'm thinking we should compromise on that one. In this case, we could do script the introductory scene of the show, and the rest of the show's scenes would be described in detail.

WDW Vacationer, you dont have to do pics, but they are always nice to give visuals :)

For the script.. Ok SONGS are HARD i know that..

Scripts are hard too, i know.. The scripts i would prefer you have a script with the dialogue and such, i know it is hard, but for me IM not going to base my WHOLE judging on your script, mainly will be story, characters, and themed and such, the script will be the last thing for me too look at... For a 15-30 mintues show, the script shouldnt be that long..

As for songs, songs ARE HARD, that is why if you DO DO A SONG, you DONT NEED to write a whole song, unless you are using a preexisting song like "Sing Sweet Nightingale" or something like that that already has lyrics, then you need to post who sings what..

But if you want to make up your own song, here is what you need... You need to give me a title, then what the song is about, who sings what and why... ANd why the song is important to the story???

I hope you all understand :)

If you can, PLEASE write the full script... but the "pivotal scene" (i.e. most important) MUST be scripted. I'd love for the whole thing to be scripted, but if you can't. then, well, you can't. You'll get more credit for full scripts.

This is probably a really dumb question that I think I already know the answer to (but I figure it doesn't hurt to ask...). Do mist screens work in daylight? If not (and my guess is it doesn't), does anyone know of a type of "see-through" screen that could be used to play clips with the castle in the background?

Thanks!

That is a really good question... Hm.... i would have to say probably not, because of the daylight and such... (It would be really cool if they did though, :))

Maybe someone else can answer your question better, but i dont think so...

Umm... Magic Mirror mounted on the front of the castle???

Seriously, that'll be kinda tricky. And even if mist screens DO work, wouldn't the performers be in danger of slipping? I say TRY not to include video (do the storytelling in dance, song, special effects, or set pieces) but there are some pretty intriguing ways of doing it...

OMG, i actually forgot about that Mirror :)

But yeah they might be in danger of slipping and such.. BUT the shows in TDL DO have water, and TONS AND TONS of it...

But here there are TONS and TONS of contracts with performers... basically ensuring performer safety. Try not to kill you performers, Disney already has too much bad press as it is.

I forgot about ALL the contracts that they have... THey are SOO Strict that Ariel cant lift her fins over a certain degree in Fantasmic, and such..

As Disneyson said... try not to kill your performers..

And yes im thinking today is a last work day for many of you :)

So if you have any last minute ??s feel free to ask..

OFF TOPIC: i just thought of project runway and Tim Gunn when you said "Make it work!" did you do that on purpose :)

Hey, look, I hate to tell you this, but unfortunately, my schedule has been preventing me from doing much with this project, and it's quite difficult. I have been and will continue to be quite busy for a few weeks. And I have actually lost interest in doing this. So sadly, I'm afraid I'm going to have to drop out. I hope you understand. And I also hope that the rest of the contest will go greatly for you.

Oh...

I'm incredibly sorry Mr. Harrington, but we understand. Heck, I couldn't do this as a contestant! So good luck on whatever you're doing, we're always open, like a family! A dysfunctional one at that... see ya around!

Journey Into Neverland

As Mickey is having a bad case of the blues, Peter Pan drops by and pays a visit. When he mentions the wonderful land of Neverland, Mickey is intrigued and astounded by such a place. Feeling obligated to take him, Peter Pan and Mickey travel to Neverland with the help of good ‘ole Tinker Bell. When they get there, everything is fine and dandy. Mermaids are sitting on rocks and plants are beautifully in bloom. But when Captain Hook captures the Lost Boys. Peter Pan and Mickey find themselves in some trouble. As Peter Pan and Captain Hook battle it out, Chernabog comes and wrecks havoc on Mickey and Peter Pan. When Mickey coughs up the courage to fight, Chernabog is sent away and destroyed. When Mickey is done and walking away, he finally realized that there is never a dull moment in a place like Neverland.

Character List:
Peter Pan
Mickey Mouse
Captain Hook
Chernabog

Journey Into Neverland

(Mickey is sitting down looking upset)
(Peter Pan walks in)

Peter Pan: Well hello there! What’s the matter?
Mickey: Awww nothing…it’s just one of those days ya know?
Peter Pan: No. I actually don’t.
Mickey: Well how can you not know? It’s one of those days where everything goes wrong.
Peter Pan: That doesn’t seem to happen to me.
Mickey: And why is that?
Peter Pan: Well where I live everything is great. Nothing seems to go wrong. At least not that I know of.
Mickey: Well I would sure love to go to that place. But unfortunately, I don’t know any place like that.
Peter Pan: Tinker Bell! (projection of Tinker Bell on the castle is shown) WE’RE OFF TO NEVERLAND!! (You Can Fly starts to play in the background)

(Tinker Bell throws pixie dust and smoke comes up and covers the stage. A projection of an animation is shown up on the castle of Mickey, Tinker Bell, and Peter Pan flying over Magic Kingdom, into the clouds, to Neverland.)(smoke goes and away and Mickey and Peter Pan are surrounded by beautiful green plants. In one corner three mermaids are sitting on rocks.)

Mickey: Well GOLLY! This place is swell!
Peter Pan: It sure is!
Mickey: And nothing goes bad here?
Peter Pan: Nope! None what so ever!
Mickey: Wow! This must be a great place to live.
Peter Pan: Of course! Big feasts for dinner! And camp fires all night! No curfew or bed time! It’s great!
Mickey: Wow that sounds amazing!
Peter Pan: It really is, and when we’re bored, which is almost never, we go on that boat all the way out there.(points out) We play heroes and villains for almost the whole day!
Mickey: Wow! Who is we?
Peter Pan: Oh! Of course. I want to introduce you to some people. Hey! LOST BOYS! Come on out! I want to introduce you to someone!

(Captain Hook comes out)

Captain Hook: Peter Pan. We meet again I see. Your friends the “Lost Boys” are certainly lost. And no where to be found. Oh but wait a minute! I do know where they are! Oh that’s right. I have them.
Peter Pan: Let them go Hook! They have nothing to do with our feud.
Captain Hook: Oh but they do. See I use them as bait. Bait drags you in. And well I guess you can imagine what happens next. Yes?
Peter Pan: Let them go!!(goes after Hook and they start sword fighting. After a little Peter Pan has Hook in a spot to do some real damage)
Captain Hook: I really don’t think you want to do that Peter.
Peter Pan: And why is that?

(Projection on Castle shows Chernabog.)

Captain Hook: Because if you do one thing to me, your little friend will be toast. Hahahaha. But what the hay! Chernabog! Get them.

(Animation on screen shows Chernabog shooting fire out of mouth. Pyro on stage comes up in front and behind Mickey and Peter Pan. Captain Hook leaves as they are scrambling around)

Peter Pan: Mickey do something!
Mickey: I don’t think I can!
Peter Pan: Just try, there’s nothing I can do!
Mickey: I’m not sure Peter!
Peter Pan: Faith, trust, and pixie dust Mickey! Remember!

(stops in middle of castle and faces the castle. Raises his hands and motions to send something at Chernabog.)(In animation water is brought down and destroys Chernabog. Once Chernabog is down, fireworks shoot up in the sky.)

Peter Pan: Mickey you did it!
Mickey: I guess I did!
Peter Pan: You saved us! And the lost boys!
Mickey: (Mickey and Peter are walking out) I can see what you meant about this place not being gloomy.
Peter Pan: Yea I told you!
Mickey: Never a dull moment!
Peter Pan: Not at all.

(Once Mickey and Peter are gone, an animation of Tinker Bell is projected onto the castle. She fly’s around, stops, waves her wand and as she does that fireworks shoot up into the air.)
