Ok, we have done several type of attractions, from Dark Rides to Character Meet and Greets to E- Tickets, now what is the next we will cover? Shows!!

Many Disney theme parks have GREAT shows/ street parties/ parades. But this project will focus solely on SHOWS of WDW and mainly Magic Kingdom… This project has many restrictions so listen up and BE CAREFUL…

This Disney Show MUST take place in ONE of TWO Locations, and ONLY one or two of these locations, NO WHERE ELSE… DON’T EVEN TRY J J You can either use the Castle Forecourt Stage (and surrounding area, i.e. HUB, waterways, castle) OR the Golden Horseshoe Revue theater area… As said before THIS IS A SHOW, not a parade or street party, a SHOW, taking place on a stage and such, NO FLOATS J (i.e. I don’t want a Celebrate A Street Party concepts J)

This show you are making in either of the 2 locations can include any or all of the following, dancing, singing, pyro, effects, etc. ANY SHOW ENHANCER…

As stated this is before IT HAS TO BE A SHOW, it DOESN’T have to be a Musical or a straight show, it can be a musical BUT it isn’t a must…

You can take off a movie and such or make original story line using some Disney Characters, but here is what I don’t want, no show should be based off of WOODY’S ROUND-UP or a Cinderella-themed show… The shows can feature these characters BUT NOT a show AROUND them… (I hope you understand what I mean) The show should run about 15-30 minutes… One final restriction: IT MUST BE A DAYTIME SHOW J

So here are the MUSTS:
- Story Overview (i.e. Plot summary)
- Script
- List of Characters
- at least 3 show enhancements (i.e. water, pyro, songs, etc… anything that enchances show)

I know the list is not that much but it is hard J… NOTE TO JUDGES: If you have any criteria you think is missing PLEASE feel free to PM me and I can change the MUST NEEDS.. Thanks…

Also I think this goes unsaid, but just incase, THIS IS TO BE A LIVE ACTION PRODUCTION, it can have SOME video screens and such, (even though they don’t fit in with either of the locations), so no Animatronic show, 3D Show, etc. I hope you understand…

This project is ***DUE SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 26th***I will begin scoring on Sunday… PLEASE if you KNOW you will be late PLEASE PM me letting me know…

If you have any questions feel free to post or PM them to me… I hope you all have fun… And yes this has to be something you made for this project, not something you already had… Thanks J

Have Fun!!!

P.S. This is a SINGLE project so no teams J

P.S.S. As this is the first project to have EVERYONE participating, no immunities or vacationers, so im interested in seeing what you all do and all the different projects J

I know this WILL BE HARD.. so let me know if YOU KNOW you will be late... pls let me know AT LEAST 2 days prior to due date...

Remember if you use the GOlden Horseshoe, it really isnt taht big of a stage :) AND its inside... so if you use fire and such, be careful..

WDW Vacationer i sent you me answer to your question.. basically what Disneyson said :)

Good luck everyone! And remember, THIS is the part of a good project (using a well-known example):

"... Mickey defeats the Maleficent dragon by "stabbing her" with a sword that pops out of the ground. Sparks shoot from the sword and the dragon writhes in pain as it begins it decent back into the pit on the island. On the same mist screens from before, the villains are seen screeching in pain as they are electrocuted to death. Strobe lights on the island help the effect. The battle is over. Mickey has restored peace to his Imagination. Fireworks rain down as the villains explode on the 40 ft tall mist screens. Soon, Tinker Bell flits onto the screens and waves her wand to some pixie dust sounds. The strobe lights continue to flash on the island as Steamboat Willie comes into view..."

This is the WHOLE of a bad project (using a well-known example):
Summary:

Mickey uses his powers of IMAGINATION to beat the villains.

BIG effects:

- Big snake representing Jafar

- Maleficent Dragon using new technology

- 3 boats that change 2 times during the show

WHY it fits:

It's a fun show based on Disney with lots of stunts and fireworks and stuff. And it can go in The Land because it takes place in Mickey's Imagination, so it can be anywhere. They can make room to fit it into the river there. And who DOESN'T love big dragons????????

Well, I'm going to be doing mine for the Diamond Horseshoe. Can you explain to me what kinds of effects are able to be used in there (lighting, etc.)?

Mater, I was rereading the project requirments and I saw you have in there we need a script. Do you really want a script, with actual character dialouges, or just a description of every scene? I'm only asking because I've never actually written a script before and I have no idea what to include in it.

Yes you will need a script and actual dialogue.. but for me and im sure the other judges that will the last thing we will grade you on b/c we know it is hard..

For me i will be grading on the story and use of location and such.. But you do need a script just to give us and idea..

I hope that answers your ?? :)

Can we just give a detailed synopsis of each scene? What if we just had a script for the intro and the rest of the show is just a detailed synopsis?

A script with ACTUAL character dialouge. It's really not that hard; here's an example:

(Curtain. Lights come up, the stage is empty except for a lone rope hanging from the ceiling. 2 handsome men walk in...)

Disneyson 1: What lovely weather, eh KingMickey?

KingMickey: You said it!

(Noticing rope, he walks over to it.)

KingMickey: Say, what's this?

Song: "A ROPE!"

Disneyson 1: "A rope! A rope! A ropey ropey rope!"

KingMickey: "What could? It do? I would pull it, how 'bout you?"

(end song)

(KingMickey pulls on rope, a gallon of water falls from the ceiling onto Disneyson 1. Blackout, Curtain)
