*huggles to Kirsten*

I'm so sorry. :(

I know how you feel. It has happened to me numerous times.

How much of the final grade does the midterm make up?

*sigh* I knew my panicking was warranted. It was the kind of test that would have had me leaving the room in tears if I didn't have so much pride. I studied all day yesterday, and all morning before class... and still did horribly. I'll be lucky to get 50% on this one. I almost completely blanked on the first essay question, where I had to draw three different phylogenetic trees and describe their strengths and weaknesses. I didn't fully answer any of the questions on the exam. I was still frantically writing when time was up. I don't even know that my answers are what he was looking for on a couple of questions. It just frustrates me because I know the material... but that doesn't seem to make a difference when it comes to taking the exam. It's like learned helplessness in action... :(

*huge huggles for Kirsten* :(

Each midterm is 10%. The quizzes are each 5%, and I've gotten an average of 69% on the first three... :( That's 25% of my grade determined already, and it's not looking pretty, and I doubt it will get any easier...

You still have the rest of the semester. I'm sure you can turn it around. :)

Lets think positive, maybe everyone in your class failed and he has to grade on a curve. :D :lookaroun
Don't worry Kirsten, you get an 'A' from us.

Cold and wet *huggles* for everyone. I just came back from doing my teach. I ended up going under time and I forgot to mention a couple of things so yeah I got a 10.75 out of 12. Not bad, but I know I could've done better...I just blanked out when I got up there and finished too quick. My last teach is 17 minutes (as opposed to 7 minutes for all the other ones) and I'm going to do it on Pride and Prejudice At least I don't have to worry about it for like 3 weeks

Now I gotta go finish two assignments that I have to send to my professor before midnight  and tomorrow I have a quiz in educational psychology. Fun, fun, fun!

I keep trying to tell myself that everyone else probably did too... but I continue to worry over it unless I know for sure that they did. Unfortunately, this is one of the few classes I've ever had where I'm actually surrounded by smart people.

Good evening, hugglers! It's going back down to zero here tonight...*sigh*...

The good news is that everything's going very well for the wedding! Can't believe it's only a month away now. :)

On a different note, we just found out that our niece had emergency surgery last night for a perforated gastric ulcer. :( She's doing well today, but in a lot of pain. Meredith is only 30; seems awfully young for that, but I don't know anything at all about ulcers.

As for your niece, glad shes doing well and I hope the surgery does the trick for her. She is in for a few lifestyle changes, but its not too bad.

Hiya, kids. Busy day. Seems like since I switched positions at work, I don't even have time to take a breath. I guess that's a good thing??? Anyways. Wore the IPEX today. Still doing well, thanks. Actually, the GM of our hotel came strolling thru our office today saying, "Gentlemen, ladies, how are we today? Have we all bought our new IPEX's?" (which, okay, kind of makes him seem like a perv, but he's actually a cool guy and we're all very open with each other at work  ) I said, "Yes! I'm wearing mine!" :D
