Cold and wet *huggles* for everyone. I just came back from doing my teach. I ended up going under time and I forgot to mention a couple of things so yeah I got a 10.75 out of 12. Not bad, but I know I could've done better...I just blanked out when I got up there and finished too quick. My last teach is 17 minutes (as opposed to 7 minutes for all the other ones) and I'm going to do it on Pride and Prejudice At least I don't have to worry about it for like 3 weeks

Now I gotta go finish two assignments that I have to send to my professor before midnight  and tomorrow I have a quiz in educational psychology. Fun, fun, fun!

Pride & Prejudice is one of my favorite books and easily Jane Austin’s best. I’ve read that book at least 6-7 times and I still get caught up in if Darcy and Elizabeth will end up together.
I even own the A & E version of the movie and watched all 6 hours of it. Won’t be able to that again, but it didn’t hurt having Colin Firth play Mr. Darcy ;) .

I know what you mean :sigh:...I love that novel as much as you do. I have never "aww'ed" so much while reading a novel  and the movie was so well-done. Each character was very well-picked, especially Darcy :D I have that movie as well and I've been able to sit through it once. Every other time I've watched it has been in pieces

I have never been able to read much (I mean, I CAN read, I choose not to)....not sure why.....I just have not found any books that hold my interest.

The Darcy pieces :slurp:
Another one of Austin books that I adore is Persuasion. Captain Wenworth's letter actually made me cry :o Not that I would ever want a Captain Wenworth, for some reason he drove me up the wall, but that letter of his was good, real good.

Well you're not alone in that, that's for sure

But I love to read. I mean, I'm going to be a Language Arts teacher, I should enjoy it :hammer:

But yeah, it does take a book that interests you to get you into reading. Up until recently, I hated reading anything I was assigned, but now I'm more open about it and have learned to like different books.

Have you read Dan Brown, Sue Grafton, or Agatha Christie? They're all very different kinds of mystery books, but all equally entertaining :D

You mean read books in general or Jane Austin books?

 I didn't read that. I actually read Sense and Sensibility for my 19th century Europe class last semester and enjoyed it. Very similar to Pride and Prejudice but to me not as good.

Loved Dan Brown's books. I really like Tess Gerritsen, Clancy, Ludlum, Len Deighton... more action than mystery.

books in general

I have read some books, but nothing I want to admit to here (no....not ....nobody READS )

::giggles::

When I got into reading "for fun" I just tested out a few books and realized I love mysteries. The few exceptions are classic literature I've been exposed to in class, but I love the authors I mentioned. I think with mysteries you can never go wrong because it's a "whodunnit" and you get hooked and want to know who "did it."

When I was in college, I worked 3rd shift at a hotel.....I was the only person working in the building, so, I had plenty of time to read.

I started reading Dean Koontz, until after the 3rd book, I realized all of his books were the same. So, I started reading Michael Crichton, until, after the 3rd book, I realized all of his books were the same.
