I'm currently reading The Bondwoman's Narrative...it's the first known manuscript written by a fugutive slave woman, Hannah Craft. Her story itself is not the intereting part of the book, it's the intro that has my interest. It deals with the finding of the manuscript and the author dives into 19th century history. It's a good read.

That sounds really good! I love history.

I took a slave narratives class last semester, and I read this great book called Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl. Normally, these books don't catch my attention, but this book was different. It was very sincere and emotional and was one of the few books I actually enjoyed last semester.
