Trip Report The Holiday Humdinger *COMPLETED*

I can't believe the Summer of @Tuvalu is over! Is there going to be a holiday humdinger trip report?!!

I couldn’t disappoint a very expectant mama-to-be, now could I? Especially one who was kind enough to provide the title for this trip report!

So here you go, @krisri18......and anyone else who’d like to follow along on yet another Tuvalu WDW adventure, HOLIDAY STYLE.

I plan on posting live updates and will write an expanded report (“Part Tu” @Tony the Tigger ) once I return home. After all, what else will I have to do in December?

Who: Tuvalu and Woody

When: November 27 - December 3, 2018
Where: I shouldn’t even have to tell you. My go-to.

So be on the lookout for us, @DisneyShe, @slipperalwaysfits @mcstensrud. We’ve packed our sweaters and jeans for the chilly weekdays (highs only near 60, lows in the 40s ~ WTH??) and our shorts and tees for the unseasonably warm weekend (highs in the 80s). Yeah, that 30 degree temperature swing isn’t going to help the colds Woody and I are starting with.....

But we’re going to DISNEY WORLD!!!!

Woody has poor digital fingerprints and often gets lectured by CMs: “Are you using the right finger?” “Is that the same finger you used last time?” “Is it possible your ticket has expired?”

The impatient, condescending tones of the CMs start to irk him after awhile. Woody figures Mickey’s head turns blue for him about 50 percent of the time. Usually a second try at the tapstile resolves the issue without needing a “suit” to verify his authenticity.

I'm not a professional artist, but, I did stay at a Holiday Inn Exp..... errr, I mean.....I am a lifelong Disney fan and was a CM at our local Disney Store for 4+ years (including 1+ year as a Lead Manager)...!!!
I can do much better actually, but, using Markup on a 2.5"x2.5" iPhone screen isn't exactly my preferred medium, especially with my pudgy ol' fingers...!!!!!

Finally all catch up. Better late than never. Thanks for a fun read during a long work day. (16hr )

This might sound silly but has he tried touching his finger to his forehead prior to touching the scanner?

That’s our go-to troubleshooting tip at work for fussy digits and/or fussy fingerprint scanners.

Whelp, it’s confirmed again that Woody and I should have bypassed the Atlanta airport exit and driven to Orlando last week. We’ve been at MCO for 2 hours and our flight home was just delayed an hour.

Reason? Thunderstorms have prevented arriving flights from landing. Our plane is one of those flights.

Guess we’ll still come out ahead if we don’t have to spend the night at the airport Hyatt like we did last December....

Just arrived home....yeah, we could have driven home faster. In addition to a late takeoff, luggage was not on the carousel until 45 minutes after landing.

I’m not sure who is happier that we’re home ~ Woody & me or Poly & Kona.

Just wondering, how long was your flight delayed leaving? We're supposed to arrive on Sunday, and there's a good chance of a lot of storms that day (so it looks for now). We're thinking of trying to move our flight to Saturday to avoid any weather related issues and when I just read your statement, I'm thinking that might be a good idea after all
